History:
(Starriors I#1 (fb) - BTS) - In the far future,
Earth-84724 became devastated by solar flares. Humankind took refuge
underground, and developed Starrior robots to perform equally important
functions. Destructors were designed to protect Earth from alien
invaders and mutated monsters spawned from intense radiation.
Protectors (like Geo) were to prepare for humankind's return by
restoring new life on Earth. Guardians protected humans when they
went into suspended hibernation underground. Millennia passed and humans
began to be
regarded as a myth, and the Starriors' mission largely forgotten. The
Starriors'
intelligence advanced and personalities developed. Two factions formed,
loosely marked by colors: those Starriors loyal to Slaughter Steelgrave
and the militaristic Destructor dominion over the Earth, usually
colored in red, black and gold; and enslaved Protectors, usually
colored in blue, white and silver (although Geo was an unusual
exception).
(Starriors I#1) - The discovery of a human skull
started a revolution as it proved humans once existed and it reawakened
the Protectors' mission. The Protector Hotshot called the Council of
100 and informed other senior Protectors, including Geo, but
Steelgrave, feeling his reign threatened, attacked the secret meeting,
destroying many Protectors. Geo escaped with Hotshot and others through
hidden tunnels into the Forbidden Wasteland and began their quest to
find the armored battlestation that guarded the hibernating humans. Some
Destructors sympathized with the Protectors.
(Starriors I#2) - Secretly pursued by a large
Destructor army led by Steelgrave, the Protectors continued into the
Wasteland led by Hotshot. Geo suggested the mouth of a dormant volcano
where a map could be shared by mind-merge, but this was interrupted by
stealthy attacking Destructors; however, it also awakened giant mutant
Fire-Spiders that lived in the lava. Driven by their programming, the
Destructors blasted the spiders, erupting the volcano and allowing the
Protectors to escape, although Crank was captured. Hotshot was
reluctant to have Starriors fight in a rescue attempt, but Geo joined
the argument to break with their programming and fight the Destructors.
Hotshot and Geo unsuccessfully sought a Transfer Ring that could
transfer a Starrior's mind to a new body or restore the old one, while
others sought to free
the chained Crank. Discovered, Destructors opened fire on the
Protectors and Geo was lightly damaged. All the Protectors fled safely
with a captured Transfer Ring when Hotshot caused Fire-Spiders to fall
onto the Destructors. Later, the Protectors shared the map with the
location of the battlestation.
(Starriors
I#3) - The Protector group rested, and Geo and Hotshot considered how
the Destructors were forcing them into battle. But Steelgrave and his
Destructors again found them; the giant Deadeye unleashed a lethal
sneak attack upon the Protectors with Geo the first to fall, her head's
faceplate smashed and brain center destroyed. After the Destructors
left, Geo lay immobile in Hotshot's arms as other Protectors were
slowly revived with a new Transfer Ring, but Geo was beyond repair.
Hotshot resolved to stop Steelgrave and protect humans.
(Starriors I#4) - Geo lay inert in Hotshot's arms. Hotshot
had to leave her behind to continue the fight against Steelgrave.

Starriors was a sub-line from the Zoids toy line, but had a new and different storyline. Starriors robot action figures (which had interchangeable parts) were released by Tomy in 1984 and a storyline developed with Marvel Comics. The general release 4-issue miniseries was accompanied by 6 Marvel mini-comics that were distributed exclusively with the toys, which were not commercially successful. Geo was unique to the general release miniseries.
