(Avengers I#302 (fb) - BTS) - When the extraterrestrial Super-Nova arrived in New York City and began rampaging, General Akord and numerous other military soldiers were called in to assist. Akord witnessed the heroic Quasar engage Super-Nova, only to be knocked out.

(Avengers I#302) - Following the arrival of the west coast Avengers to the scene of Super-Nova's rampage, General Akord introduced himself to Hawkeye and informed him of the situation, noting how another "costumed character" had shown up and gotten knocked out. Hawkeye asked Akord what the other hero looked like and asked where the hero was before he was pulled away by his teammate Tigra.

Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, Rich Buckler and Tom Palmer.

While General Akord only actually appeared on one panel of Avengers I#302, he was presumably present on the ground throughout Super-Nova's New York City rampage.
