Powers/Abilities: The Gargoyle Brothers are two creatures of unrevealed origins with large wings that gave them flight capability and the power to spit fire.

They are presumably shapeshifters. (see comments)

History:
(Fear Itself: The Fearless#8) - The Gargoyle Brothers were among the many beings that joined the Department of Occult Armament and gathered at their headquarter near Charleston, South Carolina.

(Fear Itself: The Fearless#10) - The Gargoyle Brothers were among the D.O.A. operatives defending their South Carolina headquarter against Valkyrie and her army of heroes.

(Fear Itself: The Fearless#11) - The D.O.A.'s side was joined by the Final Sleeper. The Gargoyle Brothers took on Hawkeye and later joined the Final Sleeper in an attack on nearby Charleston where they were knocked out by Iron Man 2.0 (the threat of the Final Sleeper continued looming over the city until it was defeated the next issue).

(Venom II#40) - The Gargoyle Brothers joined Crossbones, Master Mayhem and D.O.A. ground troops in their hunt for Devil's Marks. Crossbones watched Mania (Andi Benton) on a nearby roof with mystic binoculars that showed him that she had a Devil's Mark on her and would be their next target to kill and collect her Devil's Mark.

(Venom II#41) - Mania and Venom defeated Lord Ogre at his penthouse when Crossbones arrived with Master Mayhem, the Gargoyle Brothers and D.O.A. ground troops to take out Mania and take her Devil's Mark. They watched as Master Mayhem released a plethora of demons against Venom and Mania, but the latter took control of the demon army due to Devil's Mark and sent them to attack the Gargoyle Brothers, Crossbones, Master Mayhem and the ground troops. Venom and Mania escaped during the chaos.

(Venom II#42) - The Gargoyle Brothers attacked Venom and Mania in an abandoned casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey while they had a talk with Mephisto about Mania's Devil's Mark. They spit fire at the symbiote-clad adventurers and tossed craps tables at them before Crossbones, Master Mayhem and the ground troops arrived. They kept going after Mania and picked her up off the ground and seemingly tried to rip her apart. Mephisto used Master Mayhem's portal to summon the Monsters of Evil back to Earth and let Mania command them. Skunk Ape of the Monsters of Evil freed Mania from the Gargoyle Brothers and tearing them apart as Mania commanded.

Comments: Created by Cullen Bunn, Paul Pelletier, Mark Bagley, Danny Miki & Andy Lanning.

Different artist, different look! They looked closer to Dr. Emil Kreagan, another member of the D.O.A., than what they originally looked like in Fear Itself: The Fearless. Both books were written by Bunn so it must be them. Maybe they are shapeshifters.
