History:

(Nightwatch I#3 (fb) - BTS) - Killian's father became a homeless man. Ashley started volunteering at the Columbus Community Center in the hopes of finding her father. Although she didn't find him, she continued volunteering.

(Nightwatch I#2) - Killian Fox was house-sitting for her friend Ashley Croix when the hero Nightwatch broke into the apartment, overcoming the sophisticated security system. When Nightwatch realized Ashley wasn't there he left quietly.

(Nightwatch I#3) - The next day, Killian was volunteering at the Columbus Community Center and helped Kevin Trench into the shelter, not realizing he was Nightwatch.

(Nightwatch I#4) - Killian telephoned Dr. Eli Wirtham, wanting to know more about Kevin Trench. Dr. Wirtham believed Kevin had been dead for 10 years.

(Nightwatch I#5) - Dr. Wirtham arranged a face-to-face meeting with Killian to hear more about her encounter with Kevin. Dr. Wirtham told Killian she should contact Kevin's ex-girlfriend, Ashley Croix. This surprised Killian, as it reminded her of her encounter with Nightwatch.

(Nightwatch I#6) - Killian went to see Dr. Wirtham again but found him out of his office. Suddenly, the villain Cardiaxe broke into the office, driving Killian off.

(Nightwatch I#7) - Killian met with Dr. Wirtham again, who confirmed to her that he'd seen Kevin Trench for himself. Killian telephoned Ashley to tell her Kevin was alive.

(Nightwatch I#8) - Killian and Ashley went to see Kevin at his uncle Drake's home. As she saw Kevin's reactions to Ashley being married to Damon Morelle, she recognized Nightwatch had responded in a similar manner. Killian told Kevin she hoped she'd done the right thing by reuniting them.

(Nightwatch I#9) - As Nightwatch went after the criminal operations Morelle had been running, Killian confirmed to herself that he was Kevin Trench, but kept his secret. Suddenly, Cardiac abducted Killian.

(Nightwatch I#10) - Cardiac explained to Killian he was concerned because he'd found her at Morelle Pharmaceuticals and he was similarly aware of Morelle's criminal dealings. Killian said she didn't share his concerns but he removed his mask, showing her he was Dr. Wirtham to persuade her to assist him.

(Nightwatch I#11) - Killian was put off by learning Wirtham was Cardiac, noting she was a normal woman "desperately trying to clin to what's left of my sanity in the midst of industrial espionage and costumed vigilantes." Cardiac insisted she had nothing to fear from him. Grudgingly conceding, Killian brought Cardiac to Ashley and Drake Trench so they could compare what they knew about Morelle.

(Nightwatch I#12) - Dr. Wirtham brought Killian on a tour of his building. They admitted to each other that they missed Kevin, whom they believed had died battling Warbringer. Suddenly, Warbringer appeared, wanting to speak with Ashley. Cardiac attacked Warbringer but Killian told them to stop fighting; Warbringer finally revealed he was Kevin Trench. Cardiac analyzed the new powers Kevin had obtained by becoming Warbringer and told Killian he was concerned Kevin could destroy himself. However, Kevin contained an explosion caused by his Warbringer powers. Kevin disappeared after the explosion and Killian again thought he was dead; she telephoned Drake Trench to let him know.
