Powers/Abilities: Foe-Dog has a variety of mystical powers, including the ability to create "Shadow Doors," portals which transport him from one location to another when he shouts out, "Shadows, let me pass!"; the full range of his power is unrevealed. He wielded a mystical meteor hammer weapon (a ball and chain), the ball of which could become imbued with mystical flames. He is a master of martial arts and has a vast amount of mystical knowledge.

History:

(Iceman II#2 (fb) - BTS) - Long ago, Chin Hsi was chosen as the protector of a Taoist Monastery. He was transformed into Foe-Dog, a mystical hero who possessed the spirit of the Lion Dog. For some time he defended the monastery but in the 1930s the monastery was disbanded. The spirit of the Lion Dog left Chin Hsi and he became a normal man again. Although the monastery was closed, Chin Hsi chose to live on the site of the monastery.

(Iceman II#2) - One day, the hero Iceman was hurled into Chin Hsi's village inside of a large ball of ice. Determined to defend his home, Chin Hsi tried at first to cast a Sign of Warding to repel the ball of ice, but it had no effect as it wasn't a demon. As the ball of ice brushed him aside, Chin Hsi transformed into the Foe-Dog for the first time since the 1930s. Chin was surprised as he didn't think he could transform any more. Summoning his mystical meteor hammer, he struck the ball of ice with his weapon, shattering it and revealing Robert Drake.

    Chin Hsi brought Robert Drake back to his home and learned how he'd been hurled into the village after a fight with the Augmen in Hong Kong. Chin explained his history as the Foe-Dog. When the Augmen came to the town in search of Iceman, Chin became the Foe-Dog again and helped Iceman defeat them. When Iceman claimed he couldn't have done it alone, Foe-Dog disputed that, saying Iceman was "very scary." Foe-Dog remained determined to assist Iceman against the Augmen's masters at the Winterbrand Corporation in Hong Kong.

(Iceman II#3) - Foe-Dog and Iceman went deeper into Hong Kong to continue opposing the Augmen. Foe-Dog used his Shadow Doors to teleport them inside the Winterbrand Corporation on Lantau Island. They found Opal Tanaka, whose son Robert Tanaka was being held by the corporation and whom Opal had claimed was Iceman's son. Foe-Dog teleported Opal out of the corporation's hands.

(Iceman II#4) - Foe-Dog helped guard Opal as she sent Winterbrand's files to Iceman's friend the Beast. Foe-Dog saved Robert Tanaka from the corporation, then went to help Iceman, assisting him against the corporation's Augmen, then fought the corporation's head, Weiss, who had given himself superhuman powers.

    After the corporation was defeated, Iceman forced them to rebuild Chin's shantytown into a developed town. Chin was pleased that Foe-Dog would have a true community to defend once again.
