History:
dorne-teresa-1912-abstone-youth(Abraham Stone#1 (fb)) - The daughter of a rich newspaper family, Teresa grew up with all the "good" things money can buy, a pony, cars, education and the pick of the most eligible bachelors.

    She was instead attracted to Bill Dorne, who was "from the other side of the tracks," handsome, dynamic and ambitious. Although warning Teresa against Dorne, Teresa's father nonetheless supported his politcal career with his newspaper and his money. Winning n the election, Bill swiftly demonstrated the corruption of power.

(Abraham Stone#1 (fb) - BTS) - Finding Bill a terrible disappointment in bed and in politics, Teresa lived separately from him and enjoyed frequent escorts.

(Abraham Stone#1 (fb) - BTS) - Seeking to scare or shame her away from at least public displays with escorts, Dorne hired men to cripple Teresa's escort.

(Abraham Stone#1) - As a trio of men battered Teresa's escort and theatened to rape her, wanderer Abraham Stone happened upon them and rushed to her defense. His interference allowed the escort to flee, but the men eventually knocked him out. dorne-teresa-1912-abstone-face

(Abraham Stone#1 (fb) - BTS) - Mistaking Abraham for one of the assailants, police threw the unconscious Stone into jail.

(Abraham Stone#1) - Teresa bailed Abraham out and then brought him back to her house to show her gratitude. After slapping her butler for mocking her bringing back a younger man, Teresa discussed her history with her husband. Revealing that she owned a Hollywood movie studio, Teresa then insisted that she take Bill with her the next day when she went out there, and she would get him a job. That night, she slipped into his bedroom and easily enticed Abraham to romance.

    The next few days they traveled by train across the country, preferring this over flying to so they could enjoy the view, and she told him the history of the states and cities through which they traveled.

    In Hollywood, she brought him to her studio where she chastised the director, Maurice, for not having been finished two weeks ago. The next day, she had Maurice get Abraham a job as an extra, while she departed, having business to attend.

    Some days later, when Abraham was swimming in her pool, Teresa stripped off her clothes and joined him, noting his interest in the beautiful young actress Carmen Alvarez but reminding him that he was her property for as long as he wanted her.

    The next day, Teresa's driver brought them to the set of a war movie, as it would support her husband's goal of getting America to joint the war, which could lead to his becoming the next US President.

    That evening, Teresa invited the entire Hollywood film community over to her house for a pre-celebration party. There she explained to Abraham how the movie would inflame the Americans to allow Senator Dorne to lead them into war, and she would be the first lady (wife of the president).

    Senator Bill Dorne surprised Teresa by showing up at the party, acknowledging her affairs and informing her that he had employed the men who had assaulted her in DC. The senator then turned his attention to Carmen.

(Abraham Stone#1 - BTS) - Drawn by sounds of screaming, Abraham found that the senator had punched Carmen in the face and was attempting to force himself on her. After Abraham had beaten the senator senseless, Carmen chastised him, claiming that she was just having fun, and that the senator was going to help her career.

(Abraham Stone#1) - As Abraham, having had enough of the seedy scene in Hollywood, departed, Teresa enjoyed the company of a number of men and women. Appreciating his plan to depart, she coldly told him to close the door on his way out.

    Typically Epic stories are not automatically part of Reality-616, but there is nothing to contradict the Abraham Stone story I read from being Earth-616. It's fringe material, but I'm not designating an alternate reality. Now, if Bill Dorne did actually become president...

    I would think Teresa was about 40 years old at the time of the 1912 story. Barring some time travel or magic shenanigans, she is almost certainly long dead.

    Loki tells me that the two Abraham Stone issues published by Epic were actually #2-3 in the Abraham Stone series. This story is an adaptation of that #2, but I'm not sure where it first appeared.
