History:

blue_bounder-dfa-pre(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1 (fb)) - A high school student, Wyatt's typical day was routine and somewhat boring for him.

(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1 (fb)) <One week before the main story> - As part of his daily routine, Wyatt had a healthy breakfast including a large helping of milk, then went to school, after which he had track practice (running in unspecified distances).

As on every three nights of the week, he worked at Hungry's, doing stocking and other tasks before going home to study, spend time with family and get to bed before 11 pm.

blue_bounder-dfa-empowered(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1 (fb)) <Six day before the main story> - At track practice, Wyatt expressed frustration to his coach that he wasn't getting faster. His coach told him that he had heart, and if he kept eating and drinking right, his body would catch up to his heart.

(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1 (fb)) <Five or fewer days before the main story> - An unidentified/unexplained energy beam ("a strange cosmic force") struck Earth and spread over an unidentified area, including the track on which Wyatt was drinking a pint of milk before track practice.

The energy struck Wyatt mid-drink, granting his body the ability to "super power" nutrients more efficiently, granting him increased strength, speed, flexibility and durability.

In the next race, Wyatt ran at a pace that beat the current world record time for that distance, and the coach assumed that his stopwatch timer was broken.

blue_bounder-dfa-oldmanblue_bounder-dfa-paint(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1 (fb)) - Wyatt knew something had changed, but he didn't know what.

Soon after, he was walking through town in his track uniform and/or sweat suit and used his new powers to save an elderly man from being hit by a bus.

Although he put the man down safely, he couldn't stop in time to prevent himself from crashing into a painting site and getting his head and sweat suit splashed with white paint.

With his new powers, Wyatt started helping around town whenever he could, rescuing cats from trees, saving people from falling pianos (which he noted happened more often than you would think) and paying for the car behind him at the drive-through (which wasn't a super-power thing, but still felt good).

After a few days, Wyatt decided to upgrade his suit, although he kept the white splash for good luck. He carried his costume in his backpack and set up a news alert on his phone.

(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1) - Wyatt packed his Blue Bounder uniform into his backpack and got ready for his day.

blue_bounder-dfa-vsdiscblue_bounder-dfa-name(Custom DFA 2024 Comic#1) - Receiving an alert of a bank robbery, Wyatt was able to rush out the class as the bell went off, and he was excited to find a super-villain robbing Union Bank.

As he dodged her energized throwing disc, she asked his name, and as he leapt around in his blue costume -- realizing he should have thought of this sooner -- he identified himself as the Blue Bounder. He soon after caught her disc and joked that he had disc-armed her, allowing the police to arrest her. Wyatt departed before the police could question him.

After showing a young boy how high he could jump, Wyatt returned home, where he told his parents that nothing weird had happened -- although they both appreciated that something weird had indeed happened -- and then he went to have some more milk.

Later, while sewing the initials "BB" onto his uniform, Wyatt appreciated that while he didn't know where this journey would take him, he knew that he was ready.

Comments: Created by Paul Allor and Lynne Yoshi as part of a one shot promotional comic for the Dairy Farmers of America.

There's nothing that would prevent this story from having taken place on Earth-616. I couldn't see in the indicia who owned the rights to the characters in the story.

I think Wyatt/Blue Bounder was the only character identified by name. The super-villain wasn't identified, nor were Wyatt's parents, the coach, the police, his teacher, etc. All the rest of the characters should have sub-profiles, but time was tight as the event approached, so I just got the Blue Bounder done for now.

Milk is certainly a great drink for a growing young man or woman. I'm not sure that it's a great idea to down a pint of milk immediately before track practice...however, it all worked out for Wyatt, and it may be what gave him powers while everyone else around him was unaffected.

Wyatt was not wearing a mask when he first demonstrated superhuman speed on the track nor when he rescued the old man from being hit by a truck. While he wore a mask thereafter, his hair and much of his face was exposed. As he lived in what seemed to be a relatively small town, it's hard to believe his true identity would not have been quickly exposed.

This was a really fun story. Some deliberate humor, for sure. If you can't find this book, you can read it on Marvel Unlimited.

I want to see more of the Blue Bounder, although maybe he could come up with a better super hero name.

This profile was completed 07/10/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent the Supernaturals.
