History:
(Kingpin II#4 (fb) - BTS) - Anthony "Tony" Bianco was an American of Italian descent.

(Kingpin II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Anthony "Tony" Bianco served his country in "the war."

(Kingpin II#3 (fb) - BTS) - Tony Bianco became a United States senator. He later ran for mayor and was opposed by Sen. Myles Clennon. During the mayoral race, Clennon led over Bianco due to his charm and the Daily Bugle newspaper published a story about Clennon's lead over Bianco. Another newspaper, the Globe, reported on how Clennon bolstered his lead over Bianco.

(Kingpin II#3 - BTS) - As the young, small-time mobster Wilson Fisk and his lieutenant Gino Ferzini oversaw a beating of Fisk's enemies, Ferzini picked up a copy of the Daily Bugle reporting on Clennon's lead over Bianco and placed a photo of Fisk over Clennon's photo in the paper, suggesting Fisk could run for mayor. Himself holding a copy of the Globe that reported on Clennon's bolstering his lead, Fisk replied with a quote from Walt Disney asking why he should want to be mayor when he was already king. Fisk later paid a visit to Sen. Clennon and informed him that mobster Don Jimmy Sanguino, who had previously and secretly partnered with Clennon, had now allied with Clennon's mayoral competitor, Sen. Bianco.

(Kingpin II#5 (fb) - BTS) - Following his association with Don Sanguino, Sen. Bianco began assisting the Sanguino crime family with all sorts of political favors.

(Kingpin II#4 - BTS) - During a televised interview with news reporters, mayor candidate Sen. Myles Clennon remarked on a reporter's question of Silician thugs controlling the local police force by commenting that his mayoral rival, the Italian Tony Bianco, likely did not appreciate such questions related to ethnicity. Following the interview, Wilson Fisk met with Clennon and commended on the ethnic backstab at Tony Bianco. Fisk then asked for an advance on his payments and when Clennon asked the purpose of the advancement, Fisk showed Clennon a newspaper reporting on Tony Bianco's son returning home for Spring Break and revealed plans to kidnap Bianco's son. Fisk later phoned Clennon to discuss the kidnapping and when Clennon suggested the kidnapping would only curry public favor for Bianco, Fisk argued that it would instead show the public that Bianco could not even handle his own affairs, much less those of a major metropolitan city. Fisk then promised that Bianco's son would not be hurt and would be returned safely but the scandal surrounding the kidnapping would ruin Bianco politically. A short time after, Fisk arranged the kidnapping of Bianco's son Gradon and after his bodyguards were killed, Gradon begged for his life, insisting that Sen. Bianco had money and could pay Fisk.

(Kingpin II#5 (fb) - BTS) - Fisk forced Gradon Bianco to record a ransom message begging his father to do whatever his kidnappers wanted.

(Kingpin II#5) - Sen. Bianco met with Don Sanguino and showed Sanguino the ransom video recorded by his son. As Fisk commended Gradon on his video, Sen. Bianco expressed suspicions that Gradon had been kidnapped by one of Sanguino's mob enemies and demanded that Sanguino kill the person responsible for kidnapping Gradon, exclaiming that he had been beyond generous in helping the Sanguino crime family and that he was owed a favor himself. Reminding Sen. Bianco about the recent death of his nephew Carlo Sanguino and his wishes to not start a mob war, Don Sanguino suggested Sen. Bianco remain patient as he handled Sanguino family affairs. The two then walked outside and Don Sanguino assured Sen. Bianco that they would find his son, promising that not only would Sen. Bianco hold his son in his arms again but that he would beat Sen. Clennon in the mayoral race. A short time later, after Don Sanguino assured Bianco that those responsible for attacking them would pay and Bianco got the police and FBI involved in the investigation of Gradon's kidnapping, Sen. Bianco held a televised press conference to publicly announce the kidnapping. During the conference, Bianco answered questions regarding police leads and some of the reporters in the audience began discussing the kidnapping scandal and potential end of Bianco's mayoral run.

Later that night, Sen. Bianco again met with Don Sanguino, who warned against being seen in his company too much. Admitting that he'd grown tired of being patient and threatening to offer his services to another of the five mon dons in New York, Bianco commented that Sanguino would feel the same way if it were his son that had been kidnapped. Bianco then suggested Sanguino hold a peace conference between the five mob dons in an effort to find out who kidnapped Gradon and assure them that there would be repercussions but Sanguino grabbed Bianco by his tie and claimed he would start a mob war if he went into such a conference accusing the other dons of kidnapping. Bianco responded by suggesting Sanguino enter the conference with an explanation that the meeting was precisely to avoid a mob war but Sanguino accused Bianco of dreaming and explained that the five dons only met once in a week in church. When Bianco suggested Sanguino have the other dons stay a few minutes after church, Sanguino admitted Bianco's idea was not a bad one. The heroic Spider-Man later confronted Wilson Fisk about his recent crimes and Fisk admitted to utilizing Sen. Bianco's earlier press conference as part of a way of luring Spider-Man into a trap meant to test the new hero for any weaknesses. Following the encounter with Spider-Man, Fisk returned to the still-captive Gradon Bianco, who was going through drug withdrawal and Fisk proclaimed that Gradon had beat his addiction and that his father would be proud.

Later still, Clennon's ex-wife Portia and Fisk's ex-lieutenant Lou "Big Time" Rocko met with Don Sanguino and when Sanguino threatened to kill Rocko, Portia suggested instead that Rocko kill Fisk, proposing that it would lead to Sen. Bianco winning the mayoral race, which would benefit Don Sanguino. Seeing the mutual benefits of Fisk's death, Sanguino agreed to Portia's suggestion and gave Rocko one hour to kill Fisk.

(Kingpin II#6) - After Rocko helped Fisk fake his death to Don Sanguino, Sanguino informed Portia and announced his plans to let her live, suggestion she might yet prove useful in helping Sen. Bianco defeat her ex-husband Myles Clennon in the mayoral race. He subsequently attempted to seduce Portia, suggesting they go upstairs to discuss their plans for Sen. Bianco and claiming he had a number of insights he could provide to Portia. Upon learning from Rocko that Portia had been secretly working for Fisk and that Fisk intended to take him down on Sunday after church, Don Sanguino phoned Sen. Bianco, who anxiously answered the phone thinking it was Gradon. Once Bianco realized it was Don Sanguino, he learned that the church meeting would occur the following day and Bianco asked if Sanguino had heard anything about Gradon. Sanguino assured Bianco that the situation with Gradon would be settled at the church meeting and Bianco promised to be there at 10am sharp per Sanguino's orders.

The next morning, Sen. Bianco met with Don Sanguino and his agents at the church on L Street and Bianco ordered Lou Rocko to take Bianco to the balcony so Bianco could help identify Fisk when he arrived at the church. After Wilson Fisk did not show up during the subsequent church service, Rocko deduced that Fisk was in the church basement and he handed a gun to Sen. Bianco, asking if he knew how to use it. Assuring Rocko that he was familiar with guns from his time serving his country, Sen. Bianco accompanied Rocko into the basement, only to switch sides and join up with Fisk, knocking out Rocko with the butt of his gun. Bianco then demanded to know how his son was doing and Fisk assured Bianco that Gradon was detoxing but fine. Bianco then accompanied Fisk to confront the other mob dons.

(Kingpin II#7) - Standing by Fisk's side in the shadows, Sen. Bianco watched as Don Sanguino attempted to climb the church curtains and make a deal with Fisk, insisting that he could be useful once Clennon became mayor. Revealing his presence, Bianco asked who would be mayor before stepping on Sanguino's fingers and causing him to fall to the ground, where Sangino's own starving dogs rushed towards the mob boss. Following the encounter at the church, news reports came in that Gradon Bianco was returned to the Senator and in a subsequent interview, Gradon Bianco claimed that, while captive, he overheard evidence linking the kidnapping to Sen. Myles Clennon. During the interview, Gradon also suggested that his entire kidnapping was arranged by Clennon in an effort to ruin his father Anthony's political career. The reporter, John, then turned his attention towards Tony Bianco himself, remarking on how public support seemed to have swung in Bianco's favor, and Bianco made no comments regarding Clennon, commenting that he was just happy to have his son back. Another reporter, Margaret, then questioned Bianco about rumors of mob ties of his own but Bianco claimed there had been much mud-slinging on behalf of Clennon's camp before excusing himself to reunite Gradon with the rest of his family. Watching the news from a run-down room, Sen. Clennon exclaimed that Fisk had played everyone, including himself, and yelled that Fisk had likely planned the entire scenario from the start. Figuring his career was over and that he didn't have the fortitude for prison, Clennon contemplated suicide before noticing a newspaper reporting on the return of Tony Bianco's son and deciding to take Fisk down with him as he fell from grace.

Despite Bianco's eyes being shown as blue in Kingpin II#5, they appear brown in Kingpin II#6.

A man resembling Sen. Bianco appeared next to Wilson Fisk as Sen. Clennon attacked him but the art in the Kingpin II series showed several people that resembled Bianco's build, age and hair color. This man with Fisk at the end of Kingpin II#7 could have been Bianco but it could also have very well simply been a bodyguard or someone else. The hair was slightly different in style, more wavy than Bianco's, therefore, I chose not to include that in Bianco's profile. IF it was intended to be Bianco then the following should be added to the end of the text above for Kingpin II#7: "Bianco later visited the 'Crime, Pulp & Comics in America: A Retrospective' exhibit alongside Wilson Fisk. When an angry and desperate Sen. Myles Clennon arrived and attempted to run down Fisk with his car, Bianco ran out of the path of the speeding car."

It should be noted that while Wilson Fisk kidnapped Gradon Bianco to use a mock leverage against Tony Bianco, he had planned on Tony betraying Don Sanguino from the beginning. Unaware of Fisk's plans and manipulations, Tony betrayed Don Sanguino because he didn't feel Sanguino had done enough to rescue Gradon from Fisk despite helping Sanguino with political favors. Tony was completely unaware that Fisk had manipulated events from the beginning.
