He can teleport virtually anything, except items equipped with jammers designed to block Warpsmith abilities, through warpspace, with interstellar distances no more difficult than a few inches, and with microscopic precision no matter the object size or distance. He can generate lightning-like energies capable of slicing living flesh apart. He is equipped with a translator phone to facilitate communication, though it sometimes takes time to interpret nuanced statements (for example, translating "couldn't you have sex?" as "go f*** yourselves"); however, he also swiftly picks up new languages, among them English.

History:
(Warrior#9/3) - Warpsmiths were an
extraterrestrial species originally native to the planet Phaidon.
Their society had different color coded castes, they lived in
polyamorous clusters usually consisting of six partners, three male
and three female, and through cybernetic "Derma Circuitry" implants
installed in infancy they could teleport virtually anything
instantaneously across even interstellar distances almost
instinctively, hence the name their species had become known by. There
was no word in the Warpsmith language for "distance." The Warpsmiths
ruled of Gulf World Confederacy, which had been locked in a cold war
with the Qys Imperium, an alien species who could manufacture custom
bodies which they could switch their minds between.
(Miracleman#13 (fb) - BTS) - The cold war
had lasted for eleven thousand years.
(Kimota: A Miracleman Companion: "A
Chronology of Everything (Almost)") - In the Earth year 1700 A.D. the
Chronarchy attacked the Warpsmiths of Hod. In response the Warpsmiths
wiped out all but a few of the Chronarchy with Death-Cats, the
ultimate weapon provided by the Rhordru Makers.
(Warrior#9/3)
- Aza Chorn was a white Warpsmith, marking him of
the warrior caste.
(Warrior#9/3) - Aza Chorn and his cluster were from and based on the planet Hod, where they protected the local Warpsmith Core-Complex. While doing so Aza Chorn detected a group of four intruders - Gimmy, Hushabye, Joxie and Krank - attempting to sneak into the Core-Complex. From their garb and jargon, they appeared to be young Gulfworlders out thrill-seeking by doing something forbidden, and thus effectively harmless, but that they had come so close before being detected or driven back by the hesitance stimulators bordering the complex meant they had advanced technology they should not possess, meaning they might also be disguised Qys saboteurs. Aza Chorn summoned the rest of his cluster and informed them of the situation. One wife, Llans Ivo, seemed convinced they were Qys, but while Aza Chorn acknowledged that possibility he pointed out that their people were sworn to protect the Gulfworlds, so slaughtering their children without trial would be diplomatic suicide. The Warpsmiths teleported to the intruders and issued them a warning that while friends of the Gulf would be honored and served, enemies would be destroyed without qualm. Ignoring this the four intruders panicked and tried to run, so Aza Chorn ordered Hrrin Luli to transport them to restraint chambers back in the Home Cluster, but the intruders had interferers preventing this. Taking this as proof they were Qys, Llans Ivo teleported next to Hushabye and Krank and rendered them unconscious with her martial prowess. Joxie threw a statue-cube at the Warpsmiths, temporarily freezing most of them in place, while Gimmy made a dash for the power core. The youngest and newest of the Warpsmith family, Uxu Chil, was the only one outside the stasis field, and unable to risk that the intruder might be carrying a bomb she teleported some support pillars out of the corridor, causing the ceiling to collapse and crush Gimmy. Free again, Aza Chorn watched as Joxie dropped to his knees besides Gimmy's corpse, wailing at how the Warpsmiths had killed his lover over a prank, confirming she didn't have a bomb.
(Warrior#10/3) - Cluster member Tenga Dril, whose Derma
Circuitry was malfunctioning and so had been forced to come to the
complex via more conventional means, arrived shortly after the tragedy,
and was informed by Aza Chorn as to what had taken place. He asked Aza
Chorn if the Black Warpsmiths (the oldest of the species and their
effective rulers and arbiters) were aware, and Chorn confirmed that
since a few seconds had already passed since the incident they
undoubtedly were, and he expected they would summon the family to their
presence. As he said this last word, Aza Chorn vanished, transported by
the Black Warpsmiths to their presence. He listened as the Black
Warpsmiths detailed the serious injuries inflicted on each intruder, all
of whom were the children of important officials within the Gulfworlds,
and was asked his feelings on the matter. Aza Chorn claimed the fault,
blaming his own worthlessness for letting the situation escalate and
offering his own life in penance. However the Black Warpsmiths noted
that he had been correct to believe the intruders were a Qys-sabotage
mission, as the Qys had clearly hired the children and provided them the
technology to breach Warpsmith defenses. The Black Warpsmith queried
where the Qys had obtained the intelligence, reminding Aza Chorn that as
beings capable of creating designers bodies they could look like anyone
or anything, but there were a few things they couldn't do, most notably
project their unique metabolisms through warp space using Derma
Circuitry. At this Aza Chorn realized that the real Tenga Dril had been
slain and replaced by a Qys imposter. The Black Warpsmiths teleported
Aza Chorn and the fake Tenga Dril to face one another, and each stood
deep in concentration, summoning energies while seeking to block the
other, until suddenly Tenga Dril's focus momentarily faltered, and Aza
Chorn sliced his foe into pieces. With the spy eliminated, the Black
Warpsmith told Aza Chorn he and his cluster were dismissed, adding that
a replacement would be assigned for Tenga Dril.

(A1#1/2) - To mourn Tenga Dril, Aza Chorn's cluster performed a ghost dance, with all of them sharing touches and kisses as they teleported around one another and slipped in and out of warp space. Afterwards they shared stories of their lost beloved, before returning to work, performing services only Warpsmiths were capable of across numerous planets of the Gulfworlds, but still returning to their gathering before their drinks had cooled. Uxu Chill, still feeling like a newcomer, asked about Tenga Dril's replacement and Aza Chorn informed her that the Blue Warpsmiths (the artist caste) had informed him they were to receive a new bondhusband named Kana Blur, the sole survivor of a cluster wiped out by the Whisper in the Dark Systems. Phon Mooda that to the Warpsmiths the universe was a very small place, and posited that they were strange creatures, but Aza Chorn queried who they were strange in comparison to? The Qys, able to change bodies at a word and so the concept of self was meaningless, or the Rhodru, who had domesticated death, or the Whisper, who had no quantifiable existence at all? Aza Chorn told his bondwife that he feared the Warpsmiths were very ordinary indeed.
(Miracleman I#12 (fb)) - In November 1982 (Earth
calendar) the Qys discovered that their technology had been discovered
by humans in a crashed spaceship and used back in the 1950s to create
superhumans; when the Qys traveled to Earth to retrieve them, they
learned that a superhuman baby had been born. Since this meant by
intergalactic treaty humanity was no longer considered animals it meant
a tribunal would have to be held so the Qys and Warpsmiths could
negotiate where Earth would belong among the intelligent worlds.
Accordingly the Qys contacted the Warpsmiths, and Aza Chorn and a Grey
(diplomat) Warpsmith appeared. After a brief discussion the Warpsmiths
transported the Qys (including on fatally injured by the Earthlings)
plus the two adult superhumans, Miracleman and Miraclewoman, away.
(Miracleman I#13 (fb)) - Aza Chorn transported them all to
the Qys homeworld, then joined the diplomat in negotiations with the
King-Queen of the Qys Held Court. The discovery of the first new
intelligent-class world since their empires met, and yet one unaligned
to either side, posed a quandary, since by law it had to be allowed to
exist, but it might disrupt the delicate balance between the two
empires. Aza Chorn expressed concern the new planet might trigger
conflict, while the diplomat pointed out that since Earth harbored
creatures created via Qys technology, the new world was already unfairly
influenced by them. When the Qys monarch expressed sadness that the two
empires seemed doomed to perpetual unproductive conflict, Miracelwoman
suggested they use Earth as a way to build a detente. After some
deliberation it was decided that Earth would remain uninterfered with,
but that both sides would observe the world, a mutual surveillance to
test the way for further cooperation. While the two superhumans would be
the Qys observers, Aza Chorn and one of his cluster, Phon Mooda, would
fulfill that role for the Warpsmiths. Then the Warpsmiths returned the
humans and themselves to Earth.
(Miracleman I#14 (fb)) - Within a few weeks the two
Warpsmiths had mastered English, speaking with perfect BBC
pronunciation, and they had established a space station base orbiting
the dark side of the Moon. Observing Earth from there via a holographic
display, they set about the Gathering, a standard practice on new worlds
to seek out existing talent and assemble it, so they would become
friends rather than turn against them once their existence became known.
However, outside of the existing superhumans resulting from the Qys
technology, the Warpsmiths only found two others - the insane Big Ben,
who was no use to them until a cure could be found, and a Firedrake, a
pyrokinetic human named Huey Moon who uncontrollably ignited anything he
got too close too, then living homeless in Philadelphia because of his
powers. Though initially scared to be confronted by aliens and
superhumans, he soon joined them willingly once he realized they meant
no harm.
(Miracleman I#15 (fb)) - In 1985 the malevolent superhuman
Kid Miracleman returned; since the Qys visit, he had been considered
inert because his human side was non-responsive while his superhuman
body was sleeping in subspace, but now his powered form was awake and
active again. The other superhumans and the Warpsmiths were on the
moonbase when this happened, and by the time they noticed his presence a
couple of hours later Kid Miracleman had devastated London, murdering
thousands with extreme sadistic brutality. Teleporting in, they
confronted him, and as he threw away a severed human arm and turned to
approach them, Aza Chorn dropped the Bank of England building on him,
but this barely slowed the monster down. Kid Miracleman swiftly took
down Miraclewoman then lunged at lightning speed for Aza Chorn, who
proved even swifter, teleporting Marble Arch so that Kid Miracleman was
engulfed within the structure. As Kid Miracleman ripped free of that
too, Aza Chorn told Miracleman he needed to locate a means to purchase
extra power, noting it would require a trip to Hod, several galaxies
away. He momentarily vanished, then was back, having made the necessary
arrangements. While Huey Moon kept Kid Miracleman busy, Aza Chorn
teleported Miracleman away in search of greater power.
(Warrior#4) - Despite some of his Derma-Circuitry in his left
arm being melted by the heat of Huey's inferno, Aza Chorn transported
himself and Miracleman to Silence, an undersea base placed in the
Mariana Trench by the Black Warpsmiths, contained a "tachyon subtractor"
time machine. Aza Chorn intended to trap a massive field of energy in
warpspace, ready to unleash against Kid Miracleman, but to obtain the
necessary huge amount of kinetic energy he needed two incredibly
powerful but equally matched forces to clash; thus he wanted to pit the
current day Miracleman against his past self, and while they fought he
would contain the energies thus unleashed and then deploy them against
their foe. With the time machine capable of two excursions into the
past, Miracleman first chose to go to February 13th 1963, the day he and
the two superhumans he had once been allied with (a pre-villainy Kid
Miracleman, and the now deceased Young Miracleman) had nearly been
destroyed in a trap set by their creators. As Aza Chorn watched and
gathered energies, the modern Miracleman attacked his younger self, as
well as the other two heroes, and they all flew into one another. Aza
Chorn immediately captured the concussive shockwaves generated, and with
the three past heroes all unconscious the alien informed his ally he had
warped the energies into Null Space, ready for retrieval in the modern
day. He reassured Miracleman that a suppressor field would ensure the
past heroes would not recall the encounter, but Miracleman wondered if
they couldn't stop the whole chain of coming tragedies by warning them
of the trap they were flying into, pointing out that this was the day
Young Miracleman died and Kid Miracleman began his descent into
villainy. However Aza Chorn pointed out this was not possible within the
inflexible structure of time.
Next they traveled to February 12th 1984, the
day Miracleman recovered his memories of being a superhuman after being
rendered amnesiac in 1963. Again Aza Chorn watched as the older
Miracleman attacked his younger self, but this time the elder was caught
off guard and knocked out. Aza Chorn stepped in, stunning the younger
Miracleman unconscious and reviving the elder. Then they returned to the
present, arriving back in silence. Unfortunately in their brief absence
Kid Miracleman had defeated the others and tracked them to the base. He
blasted Aza Chorn with eyebeams, one of which got past the defensive
warps Chorn hastily generated. Then Kid Miracleman turned on Miracleman,
still weak from his recent fights, and began to beat him. Realizing
their foe was focused on Miracleman, Aza Chorn began to summon the
kinetic energies that had been gathered, but Kid Miracleman spotted him
and lunged, intent on ending the alien's existence. Aza Chorn in turn
hastily tried to unleash his own attack, which blew a hole in the walls
of Silence.
(Miracleman I#15 (fb)) - As the massive pressure so deep down
caused the waters to rush in with crushing force, Aza Chorn hastily
threw a shield around himself and Miracleman and transported everyone
back to London. He told Miracleman to strike swiftly, since the
explosion and subsea pressures had temporarily weakened Kid Miracleman.
For the next few minutes the pair battled, and though Kid Miracleman
slowly gained the upper hand, it gave Aza Chorn the time to figure out a
solution. Their foe had been unharmed when a bank was dropped on him,
and broke out when warped into stone, but unlike the Qys he was more
used to fighting, Kid Miracleman did not rely on bodies with tough skin,
but a forcefield. He reasoned that you didn't need to throw a bank at a
forcefield when a pebble would suffice, picked up a fist-sized chunk of
rubble, and teleported it inside Kid Miracleman's skin-tight
forcefield. The debris appeared in the middle of Kid Miracleman's skull,
destroying his right eye along with much of his brain. Unfortunately he
clung on long enough to blast Aza Chorn with an eyebeam, taking off
Chorn's right arm at the shoulder. Mortally wounded, Chorn collapsed,
but as he did so in his dying seconds he warped a large twisted metal
girder, making it appear inside Kid Miracleman's chest. In agony Kid
Miracleman did the only thing he could, switching back to his physically
intact, innocent and vulnerable human alter ego, who Miracleman swiftly
killed to ensure the villain could not return. Though the hero ended it,
it was Aza Chorn who in his final moments had brought Kid Miracleman
down.
(Miracleman I#16 (fb) - BTS) - In the aftermath the
cluster-mates of Aza Chorn came to the base behind the Moon to mourn his
death. Kana Blur was chosen to replace him on Earth, and the three Earth
superhumans - Miracleman, Miraclewoman and Huey Moon - were asked to
stay and watch the ghost dance orgy in Aza Chorn's memory. The
superhumans, assisted by the Warpsmiths, took over Earth, and raised a
palace, Olympus, towering above the ruins of London.
(Miracleman I#13 - BTS) - Two years later as Miracleman
sat by Aza Chorn's memorial in his palace, Olympus, he remembered his
first meeting with the Warpsmith.

Strictly speaking Aza Chorn's first
appearance in Warrior was in an advert on the back cover of Warrior#3
(July 1982), which used the artwork that then became the cover of #4.
The Chronarchy, a race of time travelers
mentioned in the above history, are alternate reality counterparts of
the Time Lords from Doctor Who. The Death-Cats the Warpsmiths used
against them is a reference to a planned but ultimately unmade Doctor
Who TV "The Killers of the Dark," routed through fans mistakenly
believing it had been called The Killer Cats of Gin-Seng; though that
wasn't the actual name, expanded media has since run with it, bringing
said creatures into Doctor Who canon. Expanded media has likewise
introduced the counterparts of the Warpsmiths, the Phaidonians, as one
of the "Temporal Powers" in the Doctor Who universe, though in that
reality they lost the conflict with the Time Lords rather than the other
way round.
