History:

(The Last Defenders I#3) - Mr. Alvarado was sent by the Brand Corporation to oversee a drilling platform which was operating in an area nearby Atlantean territory where valuable minerals had been detected. To defend the platform, Brand hired the Atlantean U-Man to assist them. Just as Mr. Alvarado was promising U-Man that Brand would make good on what it had promised him in exchange for his services, the facility was invaded by the super-hero team the Defenders. Brand unleashed agents operating two sets of Quintronic Man armor but the platform's control room was suddenly invaded by the Atlantean Krang, who overpowered U-Man and stabbed Mr. Alvarado in the stomach, killing him.
