Powers/Abilities:  As a vampire, Alex would presumably be immune to aging and conventional forms of injury, possessing enhanced human strength and speed, a dependence upon consuming blood to survive, the ability to transform others he fatally drained into vampires and vulnerability to sunlight, silver, religious icons and a wooden stake through the heart.
    The only vampiric ability actually referenced was a vulnerability to sunlight, but he wore a Lightbringer amulet to protect him from sunlight and other forms of light.

    He possessed access to the advanced technology of the Collector, including the Aquarium and the Monster Menageries, each contained within virtually indestructible energy fields. He has worn environmental protection suits and used various weapons.

    Alex forced an enslaved crystalline faerie to create a magical mirror-house, the reflections of which could take solid form and attack the subject of the reflection if he or she looked at the reflection directly.

History:
(X-Terminators II#4 (fb)) - Unsatisfied with the Vampire Nation's peace treaties and traditions and believing that vampire evolution had stagnated for thousands of years, Al'hex (commonly known as Alex) turned to science and was called a eugenicist for his efforts. alhex-vampire-xt4-captives

    Departing the Vampire Nation, Alex found an ally in the Collector, as both were purveyors of the genetically arcane and exotic and as the Collector was open-minded and accepting of Alex's curatorial skills.

    They worked out a deal, with Alex acting as the Collector's procurer and in return, the Collector granted Alex a gallery and performance space for showcasing his own collections. Among those he captured were those of the Monster Menagerie, unique beasts captured and bred for the fighting pits.

(X-Terminators II#4 (fb)) - Al'hex was excommunicated from the Vampire Nation.

(X-Terminators II#3 (fb) - BTS / X-Terminators II#5 (fb) - BTS) - As a group of fae of Otherworld fled their homeland to escape Merlun's tyranny, Alex and the Collector took advantage of the chaos and absconded with and then enslaved them. 

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb) - BTS) <Two months before the main story> - Alex started dating Alison Blaire.

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb) - BTS) - Alex wore a Lightbringer amulet while dating Alison to allow him to exist in daylight and prevent her from learning his true nature. He told her it was a family heirloom.

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb) - BTS) - Alex met a girl at Mr. B's.

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb) - BTS) <Three weeks before the main story> - Alison caught Alex "chatting up another woman" in her own apartment.

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb)) - Despite Alex's insistence was that it wasn't what it looked like, Alison accused Alex of not having been able to "keep it in his pants for one week," and she threw his clothes and record collection out the window. He cursed her as a "Crazy %&$#@!!!"alhex-vampire-xt1-records

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb) - BTS) - Knowing Alison would be going to Mr. B's with her friends Boom-Boom and Jubilee that evening, Alex arranged for the bartender to serve them drugged shots.

(X-Terminators II#1) - After Boom-Boom had already collapsed, Alex appeared alongside a group of vampires, admitting that he had had them drugged to facilitate transporting them.

(X-Terminators II#1 (fb) - BTS) - Immune to Dazzler and Jubilee's light powers, Alex and his vampires either subdued them or waited for the drugs to drop them, after which they transported the three mutants to an arena.

(X-Terminators II#1 - BTS) - Boom-Boom, Dazzler and Jubilee fought various vampires, winning the chance to fight their most-esteemed, prize-winning menagerie beast, the Soul-Splitter, which turned out to be Wolverine (Laura Kinney).

(X-Terminators II#2) - As Alex watched the mutants from a glass chamber above, Xarus confronted him, telling him to stop playing with his food, slamming him into and cracking a glass wall, and warning him that they were defectors/deserters from the Vampire Nation and that Dracula would destroy them if he learned about their unsanctioned activity. Xarus instructed Alex to finish this, and Alex activated a mystic crystalline chamber that separated the mutants and forced them to battle their own reflections.

    When another reported that the auction had concluded, Alex instructed the winners to be shown in, after which he summoned his faerie slave, mocking that he would not be let go.
(X-Terminators II#3) - While other vampires battled the mutants and Alex was taking a phone call, the crystalline forehead removed the enchantment that formed duplicates from the mutants' reflections.

    After destroying the vampires and breaking free from the crystalline chamber, Dazzler pursued Alex but then stopped to free the imprisoned faerie. The group was then transported...

(X-Terminators II#4 (fb) - BTS) - Via the Collector's Quantum Gauntlets.

(X-Terminators II#3) - into a spaceship base of the Collector.

(X-Terminators II#4 (fb)) - Trapped within the Aquarium where they were to serve in Alex's harem, Jubilee and Boom-Boom taunted Alex for a having a fetish for not allowing them to privately relieve themselves, which he claimed to be for security reasons.

    Dazzler warned him that they were going to escape, free every woman in the harem and then kick his ass, but Alex, after discussing his history, noted that the Aquarium was his private collection and that its walls were indestructible. He further noted that if they did somehow escape, they would have to go through the Monster Menagerie and then the ship was in open space anyway. After he noted that they would have to use the Collector's Quantum Gauntlets to fold space and time to escape, he was summoned before the Collector.

(X-Terminators II#4 (fb) - BTS) - After Alex departed, Dazzler flushed one of Boom-Boom's time bombs down the toilet, blowing up the septic system, and the Collector opened the air lock to vacuum out the mess. The crystalline faerie held open the airlock while Boom-Boom, Dazzler, Jubilee and Wolverine led the faerie captives to the transport room, which they used to return to Krakoa and then launch a time bomb back into the Collector's ship.

    Dracula met with Krakoa's Quiet Council, demanding recompense for the numerous vampires slain by the four mutant women, but Jubilee pointed out that all those present were defectors invited there by Alex; as there were bounties on their heads for treason,
Dazzler instead requested and was approved to take her revenge on Alex before the Vampire Nation took him into custody.

(X-Terminators II#5 (fb) - BTS) - Dazzler bought Mr. B's.alhex-vampire-xt5-kicked

(X-Terminators II#4) - A week later, Dazzler, alongside other women rescued from Alex's harem, confronted Alex as he was seducing a woman at Mr. B's.

(X-Terminators II#5) - Announcing her ownership, Dazzler then had the women demolish the place. Alex attempted to contact the Collector for transport, but Wolverine, Boom-Boom and Jubilee otherwise engaged him, with Jubilee ultimately destroying his base (and being rescued by Magik (Illyana Rasputin).
    In the process, a group of vampire-creatures escaped and rushed through a portal to Alex (whom they called "Vampire Daddy"), but Dazzler swiftly destroyed them with (presumably ultraviolet) light.

    Temporarily blinding Alex with light (with his Lightbringer amulet protecting him from actual harm from the light), Dazzler then beat up and knocked out Alex for his manipulation of her and her friends.

(X-Terminators II#5 - BTS) - Dracula presumably had members of the Vampire Nation reclaim Alex.

    Regardless of being a jerk, Alex should have been way more physically powerful than Dazzler (like 10x stronger, for example, with enhanced resistance to injury), and he should have been much more challenging for her to physically batter. Or perhaps his special nature as the second generation offspring of a vampire provided different, perhaps even lesser, abilities.
    And why wouldn't Dazzler have just torn off his amulet?

    Somewhat of a fun story, but why not name the crystalline faerie or the four vampires who entered the magical construct to attack the mutants or any of the other places or characters...

    Under normal circumstances, a vampire, as an undead being, would not be able to have children, but Dracula obviously had Xarus and Janus while he was a vampire, so magic or other unusual circumstances obviously permit this.

    This profile was completed 12/12/2024, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent the X-Terminators' story and characters.

alhex-vampire-xt4-procure-aliens     Were they extraterrestrial, extradimensional, or otherwise? Who knows? But Al'hex apparently captured some of them for the Collector.

     They were presumably freed and brought to Krakoa before Jubilee blew up the Collector's ship.
