WAR EAGLE

Real Name: Unrevealed

Occupation: Aladdin agent

Enemies: Choice, Hardcase, the Strangers (Atom Bob, ElectroCute, Grenade, Lady Killer, Spectral, Yrial, Zip-Zap) (all Earth-93060)

Known Relatives: None

Base of Operations: Aladdin base, Groom Lake, Nevada, USA (Earth-93060)

First Appearance: Hardcase#4 (September, 1993)

Powers/Abilities: War Eagle is weapons specialist and wears an advanced flying suit (the maker is unrevealed but it is presumably his own design). The suit's wings allow him to glide in the air or fly fast (possibly up to 80 mph) and apparently silently. When not in flight, the wings nestle close to his body, but unfurl quickly to full span for rapid flight. Altitude is limited to oxygen and temperature, due to his open helmet design. The suit is fitted with multiple armaments, notably mounted around the wrist and one shoulder mounted; multiple barrels suggest variations in caliber. His flying suit has limited metal components to reduce weight and thus enhance agility and flight speed. The armor is likely a mix of Kevlar weave and toughened polycarbonate, enhancing his durability. He has athlete-level fitness and excellent fighting skills in at least one form of combat, and may have military training (having been described as a "serious soldier"). He has an air of self-superiority.

Height: 5'9" (without armor)
Weight: 165 lbs.
Eyes: Unrevealed
Hair: Blond

History:

(Hardcase#4) - Investigating attacks from various ultras led Hardcase and Choice plus the Strangers (Atom Bob, ElectroCute, Grenade, Lady Killer, Spectral, Zip-Zap) to the Aladdin's Nevada base and split into teams to explore. Aladdin dispatched "Bravo Team" (War Eagle, Foxfire, Dirt Devil, Grip), who quickly overcame the heroes in surprise attacks; Choice and Hardcase were blasted unconscious in a sneak attack by War Eagle.

(Hardcase#4 (fb) - BTS) - All unconscious, Hardcase, Choice and the Strangers were taken to a specially built prison containing them in a forcefield that reflected their powers.

(Strangers#4) - Aladdin's Mr. Leopold demanded the heroes' loyalty and servitude in return for their release; Leopold was flanked by the four Aladdin agents. However, the heroes worked together to disable the forcefield and escaped, targeting the DNA computer banks to stop Aladdin's insidious genetic research. War Eagle, Foxfire, Dirt Devil, Grip and armed Aladdin forces caught up with them and a new fight broke out. Choice vengefully blasted down War Eagle and the other Aladdin forces were soon incapacitated. Leopold arrived with more Aladdin forces and eventually a truce was reached.

(Hardcase#10) - Aladdin's Agent Malik received orders to terminate Hardcase and Choice, and secured the services of murderous villains Headknocker and Hardwire to join War Eagle, Foxfire and Dirt Devil on this mission. Carried in a helicopter, the five attacked Hardcase and Choice, who were on their way by car to confront Aladdin about its involvement in Choice's powers.

(Hardcase#11) - Hardcase and Choice fled, but War Eagle, Foxfire and Dirt Devil gave chase (while Headknocker and Hardwire pursued a different strategy). War Eagle and Foxfire fought Choice in the air while Hardcase knocked out Dirt Devil and threw him at his two flying colleagues; War Eagle darted off and caught Dirt Devil in midair. War Eagle and Dirt Devil rushed in to save Foxfire, already defeated by Hardcase and Choice, but Hardcase jumped and ripped at War Eagle's armor, tearing off the wings, while the Aladdin base looked on from afar. The three defeated Aladdin agents were left in the desert while Hardcase and Choice raced to the Aladdin base.

(Hardcase#12) - Having commandeered a civilian pickup truck, the three Aladdin agents were ordered to meet up with Hardcase and Choice at a specific point in the desert. Once there, Aladdin Agents Malik and Snowdon radioed Hardcase and Choice to stop invading Aladdin facilities or face (continued) termination efforts. Hardcase agreed and the two heroes bounded off.

Unfortunately War Eagle, unlike his two colleagues Dirt Devil and Foxfire, didn't score a trading card in any of the three main Ultraverse sets.
