animated sentient skeleton. He can hear, see and speak as a normal
human would, along with the usual gait and running speed, yet requires
no apparent sustenance. Squeemy can separate his head from his body and
still control both parts; the extent and distance range of other bone
separations are unrevealed. He appears to have pale partial cartilage
coating and ligaments that keeps his bones together, including a smooth
jawline and hands (although the latter may be long gloves under his
jumper). He is afraid of dogs as they chew on bones. For unrevealed
reasons, he never wears pants.

Weight: 23 lbs.
Eyes: Black
Hair: None (bare skull)
History:
(Kid Komics I#11/3) - Someone was stealing soap from
the nearby soap factory and the police offered a reward of bone polish.
Squeemy Skeleton was keen for the prize and
duped his timid pal Greggy Ghost into investigating. Once inside the
factory, their
reluctance and friendly bickering increased their fear, and the
villainous Winnie Witch almost eluded them. But the duo nabbed the soap
stealer and forced her to the police. The police chief gave a new
reward to the surprised Greggy of a ticket to New York and Squeemy
explained Greggy was scared of people.
(Comedy Comics I#33/7) - Greggy took his first lessons at exercising his apparent innate ghost abilities at the underground Pleasantville Haunt School where Squeemy was an instructor. Squeemy had young ghost Junior demonstrate how to easily flow through a door's keyhole, but Greggy couldn't make it through, partly stuck on the apparent impossible physics of it, so Squeemy tried jamming him through, but Greggy got stuck halfway until Squeemy awkwardly pulled him out. Frustrated, Squeemy directed Greggy to a hall of mirrors to try out scary faces.
(All Surprise Comics#11/6) - Tasked to haunt a house at night, Greggy asked the bored Squeemy to accompany him; being composed of bones, Squeemy was a little scared when he discovered a dog when they got there. Squeemy tried to relax while the timid ghost crept around the house. Squeemy had to bully Greggy into being more scary, but all the ghost did was frighten small creatures. Greggy hid when the residents returned while Squeemy apparently fled.
(Funny Frolics#5/2) - The
Tingling Bros. Circus came to town and at night, many local acts performed on
the center stage for prizes, including Squeemy, posing as
ventriloquist Charlie McCartilage with his talking head Squeemy, which
had "laughed its head off" (as a joke). The Circus incorporated a sideshow that
included "Skinny Skelton, the Living Skeleton"
(with no clothes).
Comments: Creators not credited.
In Kid Komics I#11/3, Squeemy introduced as "the poor man's Karloff" (a reference to the actor Boris Karloff, who was renown for his horror movie acting roles).
The Circus' sideshow of "Skinny Skelton, the Living
Skeleton" creates a bit of a conundrum; if Skinny Skelton is a novelty
as a living skeleton, then it suggests that Squeemy is not not a living
skeleton but something more supernatural or his pale partial cartilage
coating and apparent ligaments set him apart. Maybe Skelton's bones are
"alive" like living tissue? But then again, it is a circus sideshow...
and Squeemy did appear to be the only animated skeleton in town.
