History:
(Edge of Spider-Verse IV#2 (fb) - BTS) - Teacher Dr. Krakenpuss was the
supreme leader of the Spider High teacher's union in the town of
Webberton.
(Edge of Spider-Verse IV#2) - During a major Spider
High pep rally, Dr. Krakenpuss announced a new format to kick off the
pep rally and he raised a mystic tome into the air and performed a
mystic ritual that transformed he and the other teachers into the
villainous Sinnerster Six. Announcing that they had been trance-formed,
the Sinnerster Six then began a spell meant to summon forth the demonic
Great Beast by mind controlling the student body into sacrificing
themselves. With the student body entranced, the Sinnerster Six opened
the center of the gym, revealing a large pit of fire and soon, a
spiraling portal. Mystery-O soon noticed the cheerleading team seemed a
little light and the Sinnerster Six realized the cheer team was missing
their flyer, Sailor. Sailor soon came running back into Spider High
after her classmate Gluemy Miller was overcome by the ghost Spooky-Man,
only to run right into the clutches of the Sinnerster Six. Spooky-Man
pursued using Gluemy's body and he leaped into battle against the
Sinnerster Six to protect Sailor. Ordering the rest of the Sinnerster
Six to keep Spooky-Man busy, Dr. Krakenpuss snatched up Sailor and
prepared to sacrifice her to complete the Great Beast summoning spell.
Spooky-Man punched out Craving then knocked the fishbowl-headed
Mystery-O into the electrical Elektroplasm, defeating them both. He
then pursued Dr. Krakenpuss, who successfully hurled Sailor to the top
of the cheerleading pyramid, completing the spell and summoning the
demonic the Great Beast. The Great Beast immediately devoured all of
the Sinnerster Six except Dr. Krakenpuss, who tossed Spooky-Man into
the Beast's gaping maw. Despite attempts to rescue the entranced cheer
team, Spooky-Man was only able to rescue Sailor, which effectively
disrupted the spell and caused the Great Beast to explode, destroying
Spider High.
Comments: Created by Kaare Andrews and Bob Quinn.
It seemed to be implied that the
rest of the Sinnerster Six, much like Dr. Krakenpuss, were transformed
Spider High faculty. One of the faculty seen was Janitor O., which one
might suspect was transformed into Mystery-O, given the fishbowl head
(which could be a reflection of Janitor O.'s mop bucket) but when we
see Dr. Krakenpuss casting the spell that transformed them into the
Sinnerster Six, we don't see Janitor O. among the teachers. It could
just be a coincidence that both of their names ended with an O, I
suppose...

Craving was a transformed Spider High faculty member and member of Dr. Krakenpuss' Sinnerster Six. He participated in the spell that entranced the Spider High student body and helped summon the Great Beast, battling the heroic Spooky-Man when he arrived to rescue cheerleader Sailor. During the subsequent fight, Craving was knocked out with a double punch from Spooky-Man and he was among the Sinnerster Six that were devoured by the demonic Great Beast after Dr. Krakenpuss successfully summoned it.
--Edge of Spider-Verse IV#2
Doctor Krakenpuss was a teacher and supreme leader of the Webberton teacher's union. Frustrated at the students not following school rules, Dr. Krakenpuss teamed with five other faculty members to summon the demonic Great Beast by sacrificing the Spider High cheer team. Announcing their plans at a pep rally, Dr. Krakenpuss began a spell that transformed himself and his ally teachers into the monstrous Sinnerster Six and they began the sacrificial spell to summon the Great Beast. The Sinnerster Six quickly realized they were short one cheerleader, Sailor, who soon ran right into their clutches, pursued by the ghostly Spooky-Man. Dr. Krakenpuss ordered the Sinnerster Six to keep Spooky-Man busy while he absconded with Sailor to complete the summoning spell. He soon tossed Sailor to the top of a cheerleading pyramid, completing the spell and summoning the Great Beast, who then devoured all of the Sinnerster Six except Krakenpuss himself. Krakenpuss then tried to destroy Spooky-Man by tossing him into the Great Beast's mouth but Spooky-Man rescued Sailor from the Great Beast, interrupting the summoning spell and causing the Great Beast to disappear in a large explosion that destroyed Spider High.
Elektroplasm was a transformed Spider High faculty
member
and member of Dr. Krakenpuss' Sinnerster Six. He participated in the
spell that entranced the Spider High student body and helped summon the
Great Beast, battling the heroic Spooky-Man when he arrived to rescue
cheerleader Sailor. During the subsequent fight, Elektroplasm was
short-circuited when Spooky-Man knocked the fishbowl-headed Mystery-O
into him and he was later among the Sinnerster
Six that were devoured by the demonic Great Beast after Dr. Krakenpuss
successfully summoned it.
Gobelin was a transformed Spider High faculty member
and member of Dr. Krakenpuss' Sinnerster Six. He participated in the
spell that entranced the Spider High student body and helped summon the
Great Beast. He was later among the Sinnerster
Six that were devoured by the demonic Great Beast after Dr. Krakenpuss
successfully summoned it.
The Great Beast was an immense demon that the
Sinnerster Six summoned by placing the entranced Spider High cheer team
in a certain formation for sacrifice. Dr. Krakenpuss successfully
completed the summoning spell by hurling the cheerleader Sailor to the
top of the cheerleading pyramid. The Great Beast then appeared in the
form of the entire Spider High building, either by possessing the
building itself or by having been dormant in the form of the school
prior. It immediately devoured all of the Sinnerster Six except Dr.
Krakenpuss, who hurled the ghostly Spooky-Man into the Great Beast's
maw. While inside the Great Beast's fiery mouth, Spooky-Man rescued
Sailor, interrupting the summoning spell by removing Sailor from her
position atop the pyramid. Sailor's removal halted the spell and the
Great Beast disappeared in a large explosion that also destroyed Spider
High.
Mystery-O was a transformed Spider High faculty
member
and member of Dr. Krakenpuss' Sinnerster Six. He participated in the
spell that entranced the Spider High student body and noticed that the
cheerleader Sailor was missing from the scene, preventing the Great
Beast summoning from being completed. When Sailor came running back
into Spider High, pursued by the ghostly Spooky-Man, Dr. Krakenpuss
ordered Mystery-O and the rest of the Sinnerster Six to keep Spooky-Man
busy while he absconded with Sailor to complete the summoning spell.
During the ensuing fight, Spooky-Man knocked the fishbowl-headed
Mystery-O into the electrical Elektroplasm, short-circuiting the
electrical villain. When Dr. Krakenpuss successfully completed the
summoning spell, however, the Great Beast immediately devoured
Mystery-O and the rest of the Sinnerster Six except for Dr. Krakenpuss.
Sandsman was a transformed Spider High faculty member
and member of Dr. Krakenpuss' Sinnerster Six. He participated in the
spell that entranced the Spider High student body and helped summon the
Great Beast. He was later among the Sinnerster
Six that were devoured by the demonic Great Beast after Dr. Krakenpuss
successfully summoned it.
