History:
(X-Men '97 I#3 (fb) - BTS) - After manifesting her mutant abilities, Siena Blaze became tapped into the Earth's electromagnetic field. This caused her to struggle for years to control her abilities.
(X-Men '97 I#1 - BTS) - Determined his Nasty Boys weren't suited for the next stage of his battle against the X-Men, Mister Sinister sought to enlist new help in the form of Siena Blaze, Hazard and the Marauders.
(X-Men '97 I#2) - Siena Blaze, Hazard and the Marauders, appeared before Sinister as he explained they would be tasked to remind humanity of the danger that the X-Men would bring right to their doorsteps. As planned, all parties were send to attacked different groupings of the X-Men. Siena Blaze targeted Gambit, Rogue, Bishop and Jubilee who were en-route home from Dazzler's concert. Blaze hit the Blackbird mid-air with an electromagnetic pulse, forcing Bishop to land the Blackbird in Central Park where Blaze revealed her presence to the heroes. Unfamiliar with Siena Blaze, Rogue took off her glove and grabbed Blaze's head in an effort to leech her lifeforce. However, Blaze began to laugh manically wishing Rogue good luck with controlling her powerful powers as the hero screamed out in pain as the planet's electromagnetic field coursed through her body.
(X-Men '97 I#3) - Somewhat weakened, Siena Blaze fell to the ground as she expressed her happiness to see Rogue struggle with her mutant abilities. Gambit then ordered Bishop and Jubilee to deal with Blaze while he tended to Rogue. However before the two X-Men could capture her, Blaze teleported away. Right after Blaze had fled, Gambit helped Rogue to deal with Blaze's powers, returning to normal.
(X-Men '97 I#3) - Several days later, Sinister learned that "Jean Grey" (in reality her clone Madelyne Pryor) would celebrate her baby shower at her family home and send the collective Sinister Seven consisting of the Marauders, Siena Blaze and Hazard to destroy the entire town to sway public opinion against the X-Men.
(X-Men '97 I#4) - Siena Blaze and the Sinister Seven (without Sabretooth) made their way to the Grey household, eager to fight the X-Men. During the battle Blaze took on Storm and showed her mighty powers by destroying two trees. It wasn't until the X-Men decided to switch tactics they gained the upper hand as Rogue helped Storm take down Blaze. Once the other members of the Sinister Seven were defeated they were presumably handed over to the authorities.
Comments: Created by Scott Lobdell, Fabian Nicieza, and Brandon Peterson;
adapted by Steve Fox and Salvador Espin.
In X-Men '97 I#3, Bishop revealed that in his future world they didn't have any files on Siena Blaze, which made the X-Man wonder if they would permanently deal with her that very day.
When, in 2015's Secret Wars, the Multiverse was destroyed following the incursions of planets it appeared as if Reality-92131 was drafted onto Battleworld as the Westchester domain. However, this has since been debunked. As such the reality seen in the two volumes of X-Men '92 (2015 and 2016-2017) now have their own reality-designation of Earth-15730. The X-Men '92: House of XCII (2022) series was inspired by both the animated series and Hickman's House of X run but is its own separate reality. The limited series X-Men '97 (2024), however, is Reality-92131 and bridges the gap between the original X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon and the new X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon.
