Powers/Abilities: The panther was an average example of its species, albeit domesticated to be subservient to the Imperial Hydra and willing to be leashed and led by him. It wore a collar with an 'H' icon dangling under its chin. It had powerful jaws with sharp teeth and claws on its paws.

History:

(Strange Tales I#135/Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. I#4) - The panther sat beside the Imperial Hydra as he sat upon his throne and received the news from one of his section leaders who had failed to assassinate Nick Fury, leading to the section leader's death by combat.

(Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. I#4) - The panther stood beside the Imperial Hydra as he discovered Fury had evaded yet another attempted assassination.

(Strange Tales I#136) - The panther resteed beside the Imperial Hydra as he heard the report of Section Leader B. When Section Leader B failed at capturing S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters, the panther witnessed his death.

(Strange Tales I#137) - One of the Imperial Hydra's subordinates brought him his panther on its leash after he returned from working in his civilian guise as Arnold Brown in the Imperial Industries International building above the Hydra base. The panther sat beside him as he congratulated Hydra agents who had successfully retrieved microfilm from S.H.I.E.L.D. Later, the panther sat beside the Imperial Hydra in his office while he was visited by his daughter, Laura Brown

(Strange Tales I#138) - After Laura expressed her disapproval of her father's actions and left, the Imperial Hydra confided to the panther that only he was loyal, "for we are both alike, we two! The world belongs to the quick... and the strong! And I have seized it... just as you would seize a helpless hen!" The panther remained with the Imperial Hydra as he met with the division leader of Hydra's Fox Division. When he had to resume his guise as Arnold Brown above, one of his subordinates again held the panther on its leash until his work was complete and he returned to the base.

(Strange Tales I#139) - The panther accompanied Imperial Hydra as he investigated what his men had learned from interrogating Nick Fury.

(Strange Tales I#140) - As Hydra was beset by agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Imperial Hydra ranted as he strolled with his panther, conflicted by his daughter Laura's betrayal.

    I suppose S.H.I.E.L.D. impounded the panther when they captured the base.
