History:
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale" - BTS) - Carol Danvers became known to the world as the superheroine Ms. Marvel, using her incredible powers to protect humanity.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale" - BTS) - One of Ms. Marvel's greatest enemies was the shapeshifting mutant Mystique, who identified Danvers as the perfect victim to empower her adopted daughter Rogue. Mystique carefully trained Rogue in the use of her power absorption abilities before orchestrating a military assault in which Rogue could be used against the unsuspecting heroine.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale" (fb)) - Responding to reports of an attack upon a military installation by Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Ms. Marvel arrived unaware the assault had merely been a trap. She confronted the Brotherhood just as Rogue boarded a stolen fighter plane. Charging into battle, Ms. Marvel smashed through the immovable Blob before pursuing Rogue high into the sky.
Catching up with the aircraft, Ms. Marvel tore open part of the cockpit, causing a sudden loss of pressure that hurled Rogue backwards through the cabin. Boarding the damaged fighter plane, Danvers quickly resealed the hull and took control of the aircraft. Unfortunately, this left her vulnerable as Rogue recovered and obeyed Mystique's command to grab hold of the heroine, finally revealing the mutant's true powers.
Through physical contact, Rogue absorbed Ms. Marvel's memories and powers. Pressured by Mystique to continue the absorption far beyond safe limits, Rogue permanently absorbed much of Danvers' abilities and psyche. In a desperate attempt to escape Rogue's grasp, Ms. Marvel burst upward through the cockpit canopy while Rogue continued holding onto her. The damaged fighter plane subsequently crashed below.
Ms. Marvel's efforts proved futile as she soon lost consciousness and plummeted toward the ground, only for Rogue herself to catch the heroine before impact. Left comatose, Danvers' mask was removed by Pyro, revealing the heroine's civilian identity for the first time.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale" (fb)) - Carol Danvers was transported to a New York City hospital where she remained in a deep coma. Because her identity had remained secret, the hospital staff classified her as a Jane Doe patient and nicknamed her "Sleeping Beauty," believing there was virtually no brain activity remaining.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale" - BTS) - While Danvers' physical body remained hospitalized, Rogue retained not only Ms. Marvel's powers of flight and superhuman strength, but also Carol's consciousness trapped within her own psyche. Rogue soon began suffering disturbing visions in which Carol appeared both as Ms. Marvel and as a monstrous green-skinned version of herself, furiously blaming Rogue for stealing her life. Unable and unwilling to explain the truth to Mystique, Rogue abandoned the Brotherhood and eventually sought help from Professor X. Using his telepathic abilities, Xavier temporarily suppressed Carol's personality within Rogue's mind, allowing Rogue to join the X-Men while Danvers remained trapped deep within her subconscious.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale" - BTS) - Hoping to lure Rogue back to her side, Mystique repeatedly used her shapeshifting powers to assume Carol Danvers' appearance and secretly appeared near Rogue and the X-Men in an effort to trigger Rogue's suppressed memories.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "A Rogue's Tale") - Mystique's manipulations eventually succeeded when the sight of Carol Danvers allowed the real Danvers to temporarily break free within Rogue's subconscious mind. Furious over the theft of her life, Carol seized control of Rogue's body shortly after Rogue had approached Jean Grey and Cyclops for help. Disoriented by her surroundings and now controlling Rogue's body, Danvers attempted to flee from the X-Men before Jean Grey used her telepathic powers to interfere, causing Carol to lose control of Rogue once again.
Some time later, Danvers (or possibly another illusion created by Mystique) appeared before Rogue once more and lured her to the city hospital where Carol's comatose body remained. Unknown to Rogue, Mystique and the Brotherhood had already infiltrated the hospital, with Mystique once again impersonating Carol Danvers in preparation for confronting her adopted daughter.
Revealing her true identity, Mystique urged Rogue to use her absorption powers upon her in order to finally learn the truth. However, when Rogue absorbed Mystique's powers and memories, the contact once again freed Carol Danvers within Rogue's psyche, allowing Ms. Marvel to partially seize control of Rogue's body. Using Mystique's shapeshifting powers, Carol transformed Rogue's appearance into that of Ms. Marvel herself, triumphantly proclaiming that Ms. Marvel had been reborn.
Within Rogue's fractured psyche, however, Carol and Rogue violently battled for control. Consumed by rage and grief, Danvers sought to destroy Rogue entirely so her own mind and body could live again. Entering Rogue's mind telepathically, Jean Grey desperately attempted to reason with Carol, warning her that destroying Rogue could doom them both. At the edge of emotional collapse, Carol tearfully declared that perhaps it would be better for everything to end before breaking free from Jean's grasp and continuing the psychic struggle. Determined to save her friend, Jean Grey ultimately used her telepathic powers to imprison Carol within a psychic cage, restoring control of Rogue's body to the devastated mutant. With the immediate threat ended, Carol Danvers once again remained trapped within Rogue's subconscious.
Filled with remorse, Rogue later visited Carol Danvers' hospital room and brought flowers to the comatose heroine. As Rogue sat beside the unconscious woman, a nurse entered the room, surprised that somebody finally knew the mysterious Jane Doe patient's identity. Fighting back tears, Rogue quietly revealed that her name was Carol Danvers and admitted they had once been very close. As Rogue gently brushed Carol's hair aside, a faint spark of energy briefly passed between them. Moments after Rogue departed, Carol Danvers' vital signs suddenly began to increase as her mouth slowly started to move, hinting that Danvers' consciousness might finally be returning to her own body.

So could Ms. Marvel be part of the Avengers and is there even an Avengers team on Earth-92131. Yes, thus far we've had a few clues about the existence of an Avengers team in this reality, the first when a young Cyclops was seen fighting the Super-Adaptoid in X-Men: the Animated Series cartoon - "Till Death Do Us Part, Part II", his appearance suggests he copied the abilities of the original Avengers, including Captain America, Hawkeye, Goliath, Iron Man and the Wasp (although Cap still must've been stuck inside the vortex for 50 years). A second as a comment made by Spider-Man (Peter Parker) in Spider-Man: the Animated Series cartoon - "Night of the Lizard" when tracking the Lizard in the sewers he complained to himself that heroes such as the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Defenders would never have to do the same. A third, when asked why Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were mentioned as being off world in "Tolerance is Extinction - Part III", X-Men '97 writer Beau DeMayo noted episode 6 for the clue. This suggests the brother and sister duo were involved in Operation: Galactic Storm which involves the Avengers intervening in an intergalactic war between the alien Kree and Shi'ar empires. So we know that at some point there has been an Avengers team on Earth-92131. Other than Ms. Marvel we've seen several well-known Avengers on Earth-92131: Hulk (Dr. Bruce Banner), Thor, Iron Man (Tony Stark), Captain America (Steve Rogers), Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff). And we've even seen a Black Panther, although he's T'Chaka, father of T'Challa. I wouldn't be surprised if we're finally going to see the Avengers in the upcoming second season of X-Men '97: The Animated Series.
When, in 2015's Secret Wars, the Multiverse was destroyed following the incursions of planets it appeared as if Reality-92131 was drafted onto Battleworld as the Westchester domain. However, this has since been debunked. As such the reality seen in the two volumes of X-Men '92 (2015 and 2016-2017) now have their own reality-designation of Earth-15730. The X-Men '92: House of XCII (2022) series was inspired by both the animated series and Hickman's House of X run but is its own separate reality. The limited series X-Men '97 (2024), however, is Reality-92131 and bridges the gap between the original X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon and the new X-Men '97: The Animated Series.
