History:
(X-Men II#62 (fb) - BTS) - Following the apparent death of their long-time leader Fu Manchu, the Si-Fan split into four factions: the Sleeping Dragon Clan led by Chiang Kai-Dong; the Steel Lotus Group led by Hsien Ming-Ho; the Wild Tiger Mob led by Deng Lin-Xiao; and the Coiled Serpent Syndicate led by Mao Liu-Cho.

As the Hellfire Club sought the secret of Fu Manchu's Elixir Vitae in the hopes it could be used to cure the Legacy Virus, Hsien Ming-Ho and the other faction leaders made a sudden disappearance. Intelligence operative Clive Reston researched the disappearance of Hsien Ming-Ho and the others and alerted Shang-Chi and the X-Men, showing his allies a holographic representation of Ming-Ho and the other faction leaders as he recapped what he had learned. Reston referred to Ming-Ho as "corpulent."

(X-Men II#63-64 - BTS) - The Si-Fan worked in partnership with Stark-Fujikawa and their representative Wilson Fisk, supplying him with the Elixir Vitae to determine whether it could be used to cure the Legacy Virus.

(Journey into Mystery I#514) - Chiang Kai-Dong, Mao Liu-Cho and Hsien Ming-Ho met with Deng Lin-Xiao in Hong Kong at a bar and witnessed Lin-Xiao meet with Chow Yun Woo, one of the men distributing his "Wild Tiger" narcotic. The meeting was broken up when Shang-Chi threw the Lin-Xiao's bodyguard into their table with the message "A pebble has come to stir the waters" attached to his chest. Lin-Xiao was embarrassed as being dishonored in front of his rival Si-Fan bosses but Shang-Chi exited without being apprehended.

Comments: Created by Scott Lobdell, Ben Raab, Carlos Pacheco and Art Thibert.

Hsien Ming-Ho was not identified by name in Journey into Mystery I#514 but matches up visually with the man seen in Clive Reston's hologram in X-Men II#62. X-Men II#62 didn't elaborate on what happened to Ming-Ho and the other bosses but since they subsequently turned up just fine, one assumes Wilson Fisk put them into some kind of protective custody away from the Hellfire Club while he researched the Elixir Vitae.
