Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Lighter Torch is a very compact laser torch, able to quickly burn through thick materials.
History:
(Strange Tales I#155) - When Nick Fury was captured by Hydra's Annihil-Agent 47 and tied to an Aphonic Bomb which the agent intended to use in the destruction of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s A.U.T.O.F.A.C. computer aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Fury was able to loosen his bonds. Realizing the doors to the room would be sealed to prevent his escape, Fury took his Lighter Torch from his pocket and used it to quickly cut a hole through the floor of the Helicarrier room. He completed his work and jumped through the hole just as the Aponic Bomb detonated.

Considering Nick Fury's cigars were such important props, I'm only amazed it took as long as 2 years before he used a trick lighter!
