History:
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End" (fb) - BTS) - Jandra was a young Shi'ar woman who possessed crucial information concerning the secret fortune hoarded by the Shi'ar Lord Chamberlain. As a result, the corrupt Shi'ar officer Raknar, working on behalf of the Lord Chamberlain sought to capture and silence her before the information could become public knowledge.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End" - BTS) - One of Raknar's own navigators learned Raknar had already falsified Shi'ar ship records several days in advance to show Jandra's murder to be covered up as an official event. Determined to help Jandra, the navigator turned to Corsair of the Starjammers for help because he was the only individual courageous enough to rescue Jandra and expose Raknar's corruption.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End" (fb) - BTS) - As such, Corsair and the Starjammers rescued Jandra, Although Corsair admitted he genuinely cared about Jandra's safety, he also openly acknowledged that recovering the Lord Chamberlain's hidden wealth would greatly benefit the financially struggling Starjammers. leading into a dangerous conflict between the Shi'ar authorities and the Starjammers. With Jandra aboard their ship, the Starjammers set course for Earth in an effort to hide her with the corrupt Raknar in hot pursuit.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End") - When the Starjammer arrived on Earth with Raknar and his crew following them. Jandra, accompanied by Hepzibah, Raza and Ch'od were shot out of the spaceship without Raknar realizing so Corsair could lead Raknar away. However, entering the Earth's atmosphere had caught the attention of Cyclops and Storm of the X-Men. While Jandra, Hepzibah, Raza and Ch'od hid in an ancient Mayan temple deep within the jungles, Raknar attempted to manipulate Cyclops and Storm into believing Corsair had merely abducted Jandra in pursuit of a hidden fortune. Claiming Jandra was simply a witness being exploited by Corsair, Raknar branded the Starjammers as criminals while concealing his own corruption and involvement with the Lord Chamberlain.
Uncertain whether his father had been truthful, Cyclops ultimately sided with Raknar and attempted to hand Corsair over to the Shi'ar commander while instructing Storm to locate Jandra herself. Before she could reach the girl, Storm was intercepted and subdued by Hepzibah, Ch'od and Raza, who believed the X-Men had betrayed Corsair and sided with Raknar.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End" - BTS) - Meanwhile, Raknar captured Cyclops and interrogated Corsair, demanding to know how he had discovered Raknar himself had been hired by the Lord Chamberlain to dispose of Jandra permanently.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End") - Back within the hidden temple, Jandra welcomed the returning Starjammers but was surprised to discover Storm bound and carried over Ch'od's shoulder. The Starjammers explained that Cyclops had apparently turned against Corsair after believing Raknar's lies.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End" - BTS) - Sometime later, Raknar's navigator secretly aided Cyclops in escaping captivity and revealed the truth behind Raknar's deception. Showing Cyclops the falsified Shi'ar ship records. The navigator admitted she had originally turned to Corsair for help because he was the only individual courageous enough to rescue Jandra and expose Raknar's corruption. Urging Cyclops to place some trust in his father, the navigator helped free Corsair as well.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Orphan's End") - Together, Cyclops and Corsair escaped the Shi'ar vessel and returned to the jungle refuge to warn Jandra and the Starjammers. During the ensuing confrontation, Raknar pursued the group into the jungle before being lured into a trap that caused his craft to crash into one of the ancient Mayan temples. With Raknar defeated and exposed as a corrupt Shi'ar officer, Jandra, the navigator and the Starjammers safely transported Cyclops and Storm back to the X-Mansion. Afterwards, the Starjammers departed to stand trial before Shi'ar authorities while delivering the disgraced Raknar into Shi'ar custody.

Jandra was voiced by Lisa Jai.
Jandra was an original character created for the show.
When, in 2015's Secret Wars, the Multiverse was destroyed following the incursions of planets it appeared as if Reality-92131 was drafted onto Battleworld as the Westchester domain. However, this has since been debunked. As such the reality seen in the two volumes of X-Men '92 (2015 and 2016-2017) now have their own reality-designation of Earth-15730. The X-Men '92: House of XCII (2022) series was inspired by both the animated series and Hickman's House of X run but is its own separate reality. The limited series X-Men '97 (2024), however, is Reality-92131 and bridges the gap between the original X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon and the new X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon.
