History:

(Avengers I#200 (fb) - BTS) - Marjorie Hansley lived a quiet life with her family in a Nassau County suburb. She had almost paid off her mortgage.

(Avengers I#200 (fb) - BTS) - Dreaming of adventure, Marjorie entered a publishing company's sweepstakes when she learned the grand prize was an all-expense paid trip around the world.

(Avengers I#200 - BTS) - As a result of Marcus Immortus' unorthodox arrival on Earth-616 from limbo, numerous temporal anomalies occurred.

(Avengers I#200) - Marjorie Hansley made her way to the family mailbox, excited to see she had received a letter from the publishing company. Already imagining herself traveling the world, she didn't realize she had wandered into one of the temporal anomalies. When she turned to go back in, Marjorie found herself in the Mesozoic era. Her family home was replaced by a pool with giant dinosaurs that scared her so much that she passed out. While she was unconscious, a crocodile slithered towards her.

Comments: Created by David Michelinie, George Pérez, Dan Green.

Continuing the grand tradition of spotlighting the extremely obscure to celebrate milestone profiles.

Stu Pfaffenberger was the first when I hit 100, followed by #150's Thaddeus Hatcher. Number 200 was dedicated to Hadleyville's own Sam Burgh. Number 300 and 400 were covered by Spider-Man supporting characters Marc Noletti and Jeff Wainwright who truly mastered the art of being obscure... And who could forget that fantabulous 500th pick Gladys Shuriff? All of you? Well good, that's the point.

Four panels. That's all David Michelinie needed to paint a picture of the life and times of Marjorie Hansley. Getting time-napped on your way to the mailbox and waking up in the Mesozoic era as food for giant reptiles is pretty awful... And yet, it's still not the worst thing that happened to a woman in Avengers I#200.
