History:
(Mighty Thor III#22) - When the War Thor ventured into Muspelheim to
battle Sindr, Queen of Cinders, Sindr tossed the War Thor into a lake
of lava, drawing the attention of the Fire-Breathing Sharks residing
there. Muspelheim goblins soon asked Sindr where the War Thor was so
they could lay his gizzard at her feet but Sindr suggested they let the
Fire-Breathing Sharks have their fun. As Sindr mused over Thor becoming
more of a problem despite the dark elf Malekith's insistence that he
was handling Thor, the War Thor appeared wielding a Fire-Breathing
Shark as a weapon and slammed it down on top of Sindr.
(War of the Realms I#1 - BTS) - As the War of the Realms began, Loki appeared and defended Freyja, prompting Malekith to remark that he had seen swamp dragons and firesharks and a sea of squirming maggots but never a Loki that defended mothers.
(War of the Realms I#3 (fb) - BTS) - When Asgardian
creatures invaded Earth during the progression of the War of the
Realms, Muspelheim's Fire-Breathing Sharks appeared on Earth as well.
(War of the Realms
Strikeforce: The War Avengers#1) - A group of Fire-Breathing Sharks and
Muspelheim goblins chased Deadpool, who unloaded bullet after bullet
into the Fire-Breathing Sharks to no avail. The Sharks and goblins
eventually chased Deadpool into the Pacific Ocean, where Deadpool hoped
the water would douse the Sharks' fire. Unfortunately, the water doused
nothing and one of the Fire-Breathing Sharks devoured Deadpool.
(War of the Realms I#3) - Namor the Sub-Mariner battled the Fire-Breathing Sharks in underwater Atlantis.
(War of the Realms Strikeforce: The War Avengers#1) -
A short time later, after Namor the Sub-Mariner killed that particular
Shark, he found the still-living Deadpool inside the Shark and he
demanded Deadpool explain himself. Deadpool revealed how Malekith had
started a War of the Realms and invaded Earth, prompting Namor to ask
why Deadpool had brought the Fire-Breathing Sharks and Malekith's war
to Atlantis. As the two looked out over Atlantis, where more
Fire-Breathing Sharks and Muspelheim goblins were battling Namor's
Defenders of the Deep, Deadpool admitted that he had hoped the water
would have doused the fiery Sharks. When Captain Marvel and Sif of
Asgard made their way to Namor, who argued about Deadpool bringing the
Sharks to Atlantis, Sif commended Deadpool on bringing the Sharks into
water, as lowering their body temperature made their easier to kill.
(Avengers VII#21 (fb) - BTS) - In the aftermath of
the War of the Realms, the waters around Avengers Mountain became
teeming with the remaining Muspelheim firesharks, leading Captain
Marvel to suspect Namor had dumped them there.
(Avengers VII#21) - Captain Marvel took Ghost Rider
out in Tony Stark's speedboat to help round up some of the firesharks
via fishing while the two discussed Ghost Rider's anxieties with the
superhero life.
