History:
(
Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7 - BTS) - Proja "recruited" -- teleporting them with or without their permission to the Champion's training sphere -- the Thing, Thor, Doc Samson, the Hulk, Colossus, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Sasquatch, and Wonder Man.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - The Champion forced the heroes compliance by threatening to use his power against humanity, he summoned eight trainers to prepare them for their bouts.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7 - BTS) - During training, Doc Samson was knocked out by "multi-functional living computer" boxing robot, and Namor refused to participate, leading both to be eliminated from the competition and returned to their locales.

Thor, Hulk, Sasquatch, Colossus, Wonder Man, and the Thing faced the Champion in succession with their trainers' guidance.

Thor, Hulk, and Wonder Man were disqualified. Sasquatch was knocked out, and Colossus and the Thing had the fights called by the referee due to the abuse they had taken, but the Thing broke the existing record for lasting three complete rounds.

Comments: Created by Tom DeFalco, Ron Wilson, and an uncertain inker (detailed in the Appearances list below).

As far as I know, none of the Champion's trainers have appeared beyond Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7. It is extremely likely that some if not all of them had served the Champion in the same role on other worlds across the universe prior to Earth; however, how long any of them may have done so over the apparently billions of years the Champion engaged in boxing is unrevealed). Some or all of them may also have served him in this role on other worlds after the Earth contest, but the Champion apparently abandoned this pursuit after obtaining the Power Gem and getting involved with the other Elders less than a year Marvel Time after Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7.

They typically spoke in American slang. Perhaps they were trained to do that on each world to help earn the trainees' confidence?

CLARIFICATIONS:
The Champion's trainers have no known connections to

Colossus' trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-colossus    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has yellow skin with a pair of prominent eyestalks, external nares without an external nose, and a broad mouth extending the width of his face.

His hands and feet were not clearly shown.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - Colossus' trainer brought him to the small, reflex-training bag, advising him that two of his comrades had already been eliminated, which did not bode well for his planet. Colossus accepted the challenge and did his best.

He was not shown in the ring, but the referee called the fight at the end of the round when Colossus could no longer defend himself.

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer.

Doc Samson's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-samsonchampion-slatterus-trainers-samson2    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has red skin, a stocky, shoulder-width head with a large brow-ridge; no obvious external nasal structure, four arms (see note) with two pincer-like digits on each hand, and perhaps four toes on each foot.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - Doc Samson's trainer introduced him to the boxing machine, telling him "Pay attention! I'm only going to explain this once."

After Samson got into an argument with the computer, the trainer told him, "Enough chatter! Get to work! Protect yourself! Try to anticipate the computer's moves! Dodge and parry his blows!"

Instead, Samson tried to take it out with his strongest punch but left himself open and was taken out by the machine with two strikes.

With Samson out cold, the trainer considered that while he may be alright in a street brawl, he was certainly no boxer, and so he disqualified him and sent him back to his office on Earth.

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer. In both of those images, this trainer is clearly shown with four-arms, as well as in the first image shown with the boxing machine (first on the left here). However, as you can see, in both images in this sub-profile, the extra arms are not clearly shown. Maybe they retract with shock and/or disappointment?

Hulk's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-hulkchampion-slatterus-trainers-hulk-face    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has dark pink skin, a domed cranium, eyes that protrude far beyond the skull, topped with a prominent brow and with lids that cover almost the entire eye, exposing only portions of the iris and all of the pupil; nares (nostrils) without any gross nasal protuberance; pointed ears that extend laterally inferior to (below) the eyes; a slight frame; and three wide toes on each foot.

His hands were not shown clearly to determine the number of digits, but it looked like he has perhaps 2-3 fingers and an opposing thumb on each hand.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - While noting speed and coordination as the real keys to winning a match, the Hulk's training decided that the Hulk looked a lot more like a slugger than a dancer. He  brought the Hulk to the 10 ton titanium bag and asked to see what he could do with it, noting that he might have trouble even moving it, but the Hulk shattered it with a single blow.

Noting that that was not bad at all, the trainer considered that while he may not have much in the way of style, "that left hook -- Wow!"

He was not shown in the ring, but the Hulk was disqualified for going savage, shredding his gloves, and leaping at the Champion.

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer.

Namor's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-namor    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has green skin with a single cyclopean eye and a pair of lateral antennae as the only features on his head, a long neck, perhaps 2-3 fingers and an opposing thumb on each hand, and a lower body ending in a "skirt" of tentacles/tendrils resembling the top surface of sea urchin, perhaps.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - Namor's trainer urged him to begin his training as there was no time to spare, but Namor refused to participate, and so his trainer disqualified him and sent him back to Earth's oceans.

--Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer.

Sasquatch's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-sasquatch    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has green skin and a prominent beak of his head.

His hands and feet were not clearly shown.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - As Sasquatch trained on the extension/press cable machine, noting his enjoyment of the training and his previous football history, his trainer advised him that he had 100 more to go (having done 150 already).

He was not shown in the ring, but Sasquatch was knocked out.

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer.

Thing's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-thingchampion-slatterus-trainers-things-face    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has a pair of apparent lateral horns (or perhaps aural structures), nares without an external nose, widely set apart eyes that are recessed between a prominent brow and cheekbones, a broad mouth, no gross neck, three fingers and an opposing thumb on each hand, and two toes on each foot.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - The Thing's trainer pitted him against the Battaloids. Having knocked eight of them, the Thing asked for a decent sparring partner (or a ticket home), but the trainer advised him not to be overconfident, as this Battaloid was personally designed by the Champion himself. After the Thing knocked that one out as well, his trainer advised him, "You're good, earthworm, real good! But the Champion's better!"

When the Thing was on-deck (with Wonder Man fighting and the other Earth heroes defeated or disqualified), his trainer told him to get back to work and set him up with the reflex bag.

After Wonder Man was disqualified, his trainer helped the Thing into his robe, telling him to hurry it up, as they could not keep the crowds waiting. As he wrapped the Thing's hands with tape, he instructed him to hold still, as he wanted to make full use of the time needed to repair the ring after the frustrated Wonder Man had torn it up. When the Thing told him he was itching to get started, his trainer told him to save some enthusiasm for the ring as he would be needing it.

He was not seen during the fight, but the Thing lasted three rounds before the fight was called as the Thing could not continue.

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer.

It would be fun to see a story where the Thing's trainer seeks out the Thing for help with some alien crisis on his native world since his retirement, and his whole backstory (and maybe that of some of the other trainers) was fleshed out.

Thor's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-thor-profilechampion-slatterus-trainers-thor-face    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has blue skin with a flat face, a single cyclopean eye, no external nasal structure, a pair of antennae (one on each side of his head), two pincer-like digits on the hands, and two toes (or perhaps another pair of pincers) on each foot.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - Thor's trainer set him up with a pair of metallic striking surfaces, but Thor used his hammer, rather than his fists, against them. His trainer instructed him, "Stow the mallet, mister! You're training for a fight -- not an inter-galactic croquet match! Only physical strength and skill can be used in the ring!" Thor told the "little man" to be silent as he would not be separated from Mjolnir. After Thor shattered one of the striking surfaces, his trainer suggested that maybe they should concentrate on roadwork.

Thor's trainer later advised him that he had been chosen for the opening bout and transported him to the ring in Madison Square Garden. Thor was surprised when his Asgardian clothing had been replaced with boxing shorts, shoes, and gloves, and his trainer advised him to loosen up, as he was about to be announced.

Thor was subsequently disqualified for using Mjolnir in the match.

Note: See the two images in the main profile for additional view of this trainer.

The main image in the main profile makes it look like he has a
a large grinning mouth that spanned almost the entire width of his face; however, when you see his face up close, it is clear that he doesn't have a mouth, but that the lining/fold around his face makes it look like a grin.

The trainer told Thor that the ref was going to introduce him, but it was the announcer, not the ref, who did that.

Wonder Man's trainer

champion-slatterus-trainers-wonderman    An extraterrestrial of an unidentified race, he has blue skin with a relatively large head, and nares without an external nose. His hands appeared to have at least two fingers and an opposing thumb, and feet at two clawed toes.

(Marvel Two-In-One Annual#7) - Wonder Man's trainer coached him on the exercise bike, instructing him to push himself harder and to put his heart into it.

He was not seen in the ring, but Wonder Man was disqualified when he tore up the ring after taking a beating.
