Powers/Abilities: Yagg stood approximately 20 feet high, indicating he may be related to the giants of Asgard. He also possessed enhanced strength.

Yagg wore gauntlets over each of his hands which fired energy blasts. By focusing the tips of each gauntlet together, he could combine their power into a single, powerful burst of energy.

History: (Journey Into Mystery I#116)- When Thor and Loki were sent to Skornheim to take part in the "Trial of the Gods", they found themselves confronted by the massive Yagg the Slayer, who unleashed energy blasts at them with his gauntlets. Loki fled from the battle using the Norn stones he had secretly brought with him, while Thor, unarmed, was forced to battle Yagg alone. Thor managed to tear a rock from a cliffside and hurled it at Yagg's head, knocking him unconscious.
