History: Caspar lives with his great-granddaughter in an apartment above his bookstore in Greenwich Village. The store, Thamuz books, specializes in rare and out of print books. At some point he became aware that Ariann had vast intuitive knowledge of the occult, which he respects and appreciates.

The lawyer Charles Blackwater commissioned Caspar to obtain a copy of the mystic tome, the Anten Decan. Shortly after providing the text, Blackwater was slain by the Beyond Reason Spiritual Fellowship and subsequently resurrected as the human host to the entity known as Omen. Caspar and Ariann found Blackwater's injured form on the streets and brought him back to their apartment, where they nursed him back to health.

Omen used their apartment as a base from which to organize and summon the Legion of the Night. Caspar stayed behind when the other members traveled to the astral realm of Aan Taanu, in order to watch over the form of Blackwater.

He was later observed assisting Omen in conflict against a demon sent by Aan Taanu. This demon had possessed Morton Klasser, an ex-convict and manipulated him to locate Leena Wolfe, a private investigator hired by Klasser's ex-wife to document his affairs and abuses. Wolfe had recently been hired by attack Allison Lamb, a former girlfriend of Blackwater who had hired Wolfe to investigate Blackwater's behavior changes. Wolfe's investigations led her to Ariann and Caspar. Ariann warned Wolfe about Klasser's threat, but Wolfe disregarded it, feeling that Blackwater had had her investigated and was using scare tactics to drive her off.

Ariann informed Blackwater of the threat to Wolfe, and Ariann, Caspar, and Blackwater located her in her office. Omen then emerged from Blackwater and temporarily entered the form of Wolfe. Lamb then arrived for a meeting with Wolfe, just as Klasser arrived to gain his vengeance on Wolfe. The demon forced Klasser to instead attack Lamb. However, Omen emerged and forcibly removed and slew the demon.

Caspar remains an ally to the Legion, caring for Ariann, and providing whatever assistance he can.
