History:
(Thor I#138/2 (fb) - BTS) - The past of Wazir was largely unrevealed, but the ancient prophet lived in seclusion in a cave, where he spent all of his time studying the cosmos and probing the secrets of the eternal universe; at some point, he acquired the cyclopean Ogur to guard his cave.

(Thor I#138/2) - When Wazir's meditations were disturbed by the sounds of battle outside, the old hermit emerged from his cave and was impressed to find that Thor Odinson, Fandral, and Hogun had defeated Ogur, a feat that only the mightiest of the mightiest could have accomplished. He impatiently asked the three why they had come ("For to ancient Wazir, each fading minute is like unto a precious jewel!"), and they told him that they wanted to learn the location of Mystic Mountain, so that they might battle Mogul.

Wazir ominously warned them that none who had ever sought that location had ever lived to return from such a quest; but since the three had proved their worthiness, Wazir told them to grasp his wooden staff -- as they did so, the knowledge they sought flowed from Wazir and to them through the staff. Then a cloud of mist appeared -- as the mists dispersed, Wazir was nowhere to be seen.

Comments: Created by Stan "The Man" Lee, Jack "King" Kirby and Vince Colletta.

Wazir only appeared in three panels, two of which are seen above; the other panel depicted him standing next to the fallen Ogur. Since there was really nothing to accurately gauge his height against, I didn't bother to estimate it. -- Ron Fredricks

Wazir supposedly died during the Ragnarok in Thor II#85.
