History: BTS - Bruce Banner (the Hulk) built the Recordasphere for his research at Northwind Observational Facility and to have something around to talk to.

(Incredible Hulk II#286) - Recordasphere was with Bruce Banner when he was banished to the future. It was also present when the Hulk was captured by that future era's soldiers, and it watched the Hulk get freed by another soldier and was transported back to the present with Banner.

(Incredible Hulk II#287) - Recordasphere was present as Banner met his new assistant, Kate Waynesboro. When Bruce started paying attention to Kate and spending time with her, Recordasphere got jealous because it was created by Banner for companionship, which Kate was providing in its stead. It discovered that Kate was actually an agent of SHIELD and was actually spying on Bruce.

(Incredible Hulk II#288) - Recordasphere was with Kate and Bruce while Bruce got his teeth checked by a dentist. On the drive back, Recordasphere got very jealous of Kate, who was really coming onto Bruce. It shot an invisible beam at the steering wheel of the car and caused it to go out of control in hopes that Bruce would change into Hulk and survive while Kate would not. Instead, Bruce saved both himself and Kate, but then took the injured Kate back to his lab with him and left the Recordasphere behind.

(Incredible Hulk II#289) - Recordasphere confronted Kate and revealed that it knew she was a SHIELD agent, and that "she" (the Recordasphere) loved Bruce Banner. Before things could escalate though, Abomination busted in and Recordasphere started firing off lasers at him. Though the lasers pained the Abomination, it struck out, swatting the Recordasphere and destroying it.
