(MCP#129/4 (fb) ): Some time ago Iron Fist met the Mechanic and didn't send him to prison. They became allies and the Mechanic had to help him whenever Iron Fist needed his help. Meanwhile the Mechanic continued to work for criminals.

(MCP#129/4): Iron Fist arrived at the scrapyard where the Mechanic had his headquarter. The Mechanic welcomed Iron Fist with a gun and his two barking dogs because he wasn't too happy that Iron Fist just drove into his yard. He was afraid that his reputation in the underworld would be ruined and his business gone if somebody knew that he was working together with Iron Fist. Iron Fist reminded him that he could also send him to prison and asked him to analyse the Anomaly. The Mechanic used his electron microscope which revealed nothing new. He explained to Iron Fist that the Anomaly was resisting any chemical analysis and wanted to know what this thing was. Iron Fist told him that Hydra and A.I.M. were after the Anomaly. The Mechanic offered Iron Fist some defensive improvements for his cycle when he wanted to leave. He saw Cool Million arrive and told Iron Fist that he would probably need these improvements sooner than he thought. The Mechanic was angry because now the mob was after him. Cool Million fired at the cycle and the explosion threw the Mechanic away.
