Powers/Abilities: As a would-be assassin, Madame Fate presumably possesses a high level of physical prowess and some familiarity with weapons; it is not known whether or not she possesses superhuman powers.

History: Nothing is known about Madame Fate's history save that she sought to become "staff assassin" to Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime.

 

(SSM II#109 (reference)) After making several attempts to contact the Kingpin directly, Madame Fate attacked two of his underlings, hoping to demonstrate her abilities.

 

(SSM II#109) The Kingpin, aware of Madame Fate's real name and evidently unimpressed with her performance, wrote her a letter declining her services, denying his criminal activities, and claiming to "have no need for assassins, staff or otherwise"; he ended his letter with a veiled threat should she continue her pursuit, and evidently she took the hint and sought employment elsewhere.

Madame Fate's real name C.B. Kalish was an in-joke about Peter David's good friend, Carol B. Kalish (the former head of Marvel's sales department).
