Powers: Crossbow is a master archer, specializing in the use of the crossbow. He is an above average hand-to-hand combatant. He values the system of the English Monarchy extremely highly. He finds modern technology abhorrent, and uses only medieval weapons. He uses a device that can launch a series of arrows, which is triggered by a drawstring.
History:
(Daredevil I#204) - Crossbow was brought to USA to kill Micah Synne for Lord Synne, before Micah's connection to Lord Synne's line could be discovered. He was to receive 50,000 pounds for this job, although he claimed to be doing it to maintain the honor of Synne's line. He was defeated by Daredevil, despite Micah's attempts to kill Daredevil during their battle.
(Daredevil I#210) - Crossbow was later freed from prison by members of the Kingorge/Kinjorge tribe, under the direction of their leader, Micah Synne. Synne hired Crossbow to help him against Daredevil. Daredevil mistakenly believed that Crossbow was making another attempt at Synne's life, misjudged the direction of an arrow, and was shot in the arm. Crossbow planned to kill Micah once Daredevil was out of the way, but the police arrived and broke up the fight. As a result of this battle, Micah learned that Daredevil and Matt Murdoch were the same person.
(Daredevil I#216) - Daredevil learned that Crossbow was employed by the Kingpin. Daredevil tracked him down in order to learn how he had planned to leave the USA, in order to learn a way to track down the IRA assassin, the Gael. Daredevil defeated Crossbow again, forced him to reveal his connections, and then carted him off to the police.

His real name "Jason Praed" is compounded from Sean Connery's son's name, Jason, and Michael Praed. Both actors portrayed Robin Hood in the 1984-1986 UK Robin Hood series.

Crossbow's real name was revealed in Marvel Atlas#1 and according to Stuart Vandal Clive's assumption is 100% correct.
