Powers/Abilities: Blastfurnce was a robot constructed by Shaw Industries, and operated from remote control. Blastfurance's outer shell protected it from most harm, and could generate flames from its wrists and "mouth" which could reduce a human body to ashes in seconds. It also had a teleportation device in the armor.

History: (Punisher III#13)- Blastfurnace was sent by the MLF to destroy the body of Deadeye, to prevent an autopsy from being performed on him. Later, it teleported into the soup kitchen of the Glory Day Ministry where Corpus Derelicti had been gravely injured by the Punisher. It killed Corpus Derelicti, then took up his mission to capture Reverend William Conover by facing his bodyguards: the Punisher, SHIELD agent Kimberly Taylor, and FBI agent Carl Denti (aka the X-Cutioner).

(Punisher III#14)- Although the bodyguards found that Blastfurnace was immune to most of their weapons, the X-Cutioner was able to blow a hole through its body with his Shi'ar battle lance. The Punisher then used a fireman's hose to shoot water into the armor. With no way for the steam to escape the armor quickly enough, Blastfurnace exploded.

(Punisher III#15)- The remains of Blastfurnace were exmained by "Sculder" and "Mully" of the "Hex-Files", but a new Blastfurnace appeared and killed them, then destroyed the remains of its predecessor. Blastfurnace later accompanied the MLF in capturing Denti after he claimed to have proof they were not mutants. They managed to outfight the Punisher and Taylor, unaware that it was part of the Punisher's plan.

(Punisher III#16)- The Punisher raided the Humanity's Last Stand compound with Taylor and the X-Cutioner, and again fought Blastfurnace. The Punisher destroyed Blastfurnace by throwing a grenade down its throat.
