ANGEL of VENGEANCE

Real Name: None

Identity/Class: Creation of Eon

Occupation: Agent of Eon, seeker of vengeance

Group Membership: None

Affiliations: Agent of Eon, Ally of Quasar

Enemies: Blue Marvel

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: The White Room

Appearances: Quasar#42 (January, 1993)

Powers: Few of the Angel of Vengeance's powers were revealed. He could presumably fly, and his fiery sword proved powerful enough to shatter a sword created using the Quantum Bands. As he was a creation of Eon, he could be recreated when destroyed.

History: The Angel of Vengeance was apparently created from the form of Eon. Although his appearance was clearly based on Quasar, it is unclear if the Angel's actions and thoughts were those of Eon, or if they were derived at all from Quasar's subconscious.

During the events of the Infinity Gauntlet, Quasar was nullified by the Ultimate Nullifier. The power of the Starbrand allowed him to reform and survive, and he found himself trapped in a pocket dimension known as the White Room. The room appeared initially to be the final resting place of the Protectors of the Universe, but in reality the room, and all those within it, was actually a creation of Eon. While recovering from his nullification, Eon apparently brought him there to learn more about him.

One of the ways he sought to learn more about Quasar was by sending the Angel of Vengeance to offer him freedom in exchange for slaying the being who caused his nullification, or having Quasar take his sword and do it himself. However, before this could occur, an agent of Thanos known as the Blue Marvel was sent to the White Room to slay Quasar. The Blue Marvel disintegrated the Angel to clear a path to Quasar. Quasar, at the time bereft of his Quantum Bands, used the Angel's sword to defend himself, and succeeded in defeating the Blue Marvel. During the battle, the Angel appeared before Quasar and informed him that he could follow the Blue Marvel's quantum jump by merely trying to do so (and unconsciously drawing on the power of the Starbrand). Eon subsequently informed Quasar of the true nature of the White Room.
