"SPIDER-MAN"
(of Earth-21317)

Real Name: Unrevealed (presumably Peter Parker - see comments)

Identity/Class: Alternate reality (Earth-21317) human mutate (presumably - see comments)

Occupation: Slave

Group Membership: None

Affiliations: Kro

Enemies: The Deviant lord priest and his guards

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Presumably mobile on Earth-21317

First Appearance: Marvel I#4 (March, 2021)

Powers/Abilities: "Spider-Man" has the ability to cling to solid surfaces, allowing him to crawl up walls similar to a spider. It was unclear if he possessed the other abilities shared by his Earth-616 counterpart, Spider-Man, such as superhuman strength, agility and a danger-warning Spider-Sense, though it seems likely he would have those abilities as well.

He carried two large handguns and used a motorized flying glider for transport. While "Spider-Man" was seen webbing up an enemy, it wasn't clear if he had organic or mechanical web-shooters. It's very possible that his handguns fired webbing.

Height: Unrevealed (approximately 5'10")
Weight: Unrevealed (approximately 167 lbs.)
Eyes: Unrevealed (presumably hazel)
Hair: Unrevealed (presumably brown)

History: (Marvel I#4/2 (fb) - BTS) - After the monstrous Deviants took over the world circa 1879, they developed mind control devices to keep the conquered humanity in check and 150 years later, they utilized Earth's superhumans (including "Spider-Man" and numerous others) as slaves, often in gladiatorial games for their amusement. "Spider-Man," in particular, became Deviant warlord Kro's best slave, known for his amazing ability to infiltrate nearly anywhere.

(Marvel I#4/2) - During one such gladiatorial game, Kro met with Deviant monarch Tode and revealed that he had sent "Spider-Man" to infiltrate the Deviant lord priest's headquarters in an effort to end the priest's reign via assassination. Accepting Kro's mission without question, "Spider-Man" rode his glider across the skies to the lord priest's headquarters, entering through an open area while leaving his glider outside. Stealthily avoiding the lord priest's guards, "Spider-Man" crawled up the side of the wall and got the drop on the guards, webbing one of them to the wall as his readied his guns. As "Spider-Man" continued his mission, Kro related his ideas of how "Spider-Man" was accomplishing his mission to Monarch Tode but he became distracted when the gladiator Beta Ray Bill went into action in the games. The monarch's queen quickly put Kro back on topic as "Spider-Man" got the drop on the lord priest, quietly pointing at the priest. Kro continued relating his ideas about "Spider-Man"'s mission, remarking on how "Spider-Man" could be marked an "X-Terrorist" in the media if he were caught, before Kro was interrupted yet again by the arrival on Earth of the Silver Surfer.

(Marvel I#4 - BTS) - The events regarding "Spider-Man" and the Deviant control of Earth-21317 were witnessed in the collective subconscious nightmares of the denizens of Earth-616 and subsequently shown to sorcerer Doctor Strange by his enemy, the demon Nightmare.

Comments: Created by Daniel Acuna.

"Spider-Man" was never identified by name in his (so far) only appearance and was only referred to by Kro as his "best slave." It is not known if he is his reality's Peter Parker but given the power set, I think he is clearly meant to be his reality's "Spider-Man" (or at least the Spider-totem of Earth-21317 if he doesn't use "Spider-Man" as a codename). One might argue that the bat glider suggests an Osborn under the mask but I'm still leaning towards it being Parker myself...

He was never seen without his costume and mask so it is impossible to officially determine his eye and hair color but IF he is Peter Parker, one would imagine he has hazel eyes and brown hair, much like his Earth-616 counterpart. His height and weight have also been approximately from his Earth-616 counterpart.

"Spider-Man" was not given an origin in his appearance Marvel I#4, other than being mind controlled into a Deviant slave, so it was not clear how he acquired his superhuman powers on Earth-21317. Presumably, he was still bitten by a radioactive spider but we really don't know for sure...

Many of the characters on Earth-21317 appeared to be mashups of several different Marvel characters in the sense that they had aspects of other characters. For example, Cyborg Thing appeared to be the Ben Grimm Thing but he had cybernetic legs resembling Stilt-Man and also had fiery powers like the Human Torch. In the case of "Spider-Man" here, he did seem to be the Peter Parker Spider-Man but, as you can see from the images, he also had aspects of the Green Goblin (with the glider) and Dominic Fortune with the guns and MAYBE a little bit in the costume design...just slightly. That's just my two cents though...
