(Spider-Man and Power Pack#3 (fb)) - Rudy was running errands for his fashion designer boss when he accidentally ran into Venom (Eddie Brock). Angered, he initially chided the menacing villain as the heroic Spider-Man swung in and used the Human Torch's sonic blaster to violently separate the symbiote's from Brock as Rudy hid nearby. The inert symbiote landed in Rudy's lap. Frantic on the phone, Rudy was fired for being late, but he was unrepentant as he clutched the symbiote.

(Spider-Man and Power Pack#3 (fb) - BTS) - Thinking it just enhanced fabric, Rudy took the symbiote to labs and had it analyzed and replicated. Despite suspecting the symbiote's dangerous nature, he designed a range a of fashion wear that changed design and color at whim.

(Spider-Man and Power Pack#3) - Six months after his initial encounter with the symbiote, Rudy, now calling himself the more flamboyant Rudolpho, launched his fashion line in New York Fashion Week. Mary Jane Parker was one of the runway models and her husband Peter Parker (secretly Spider-Man) the news photographer. The Power Pack children attended too in their civilian guise. Just before the show, Rudolpho greeted May Jane but he triggered Peter Parker's Spider-sense. Soon, Rudolpho introduced his line of symbiote "clothing" on his various models. But the symbiotes reacted to Peter Parker, recognizing him as an enemy, taking over the models to target him, and he dashed away to change into his hero identity. Seeing Rudolpho fleeing, Spider-Man webbed him and the designer confessed. Later, after Spider-Man and Power Pack neutralized the symbiote threat, Rudolpho was arrested and taken away by the police.

Presumably "Rudolpho" is his full first name, but he may have just added flourish to a simple Rudolf.
