History: (Black Panther I#15 (fb) - BTS) - N'Yaga was a Wakandan scientist assigned to the recently-opened Wakandan Consulate in New York.
(Black Panther I#15) - When the Black Panther and the Avengers were engaged in a battle with Klaw in Manhattan, the Black Panther contacted the Consulate to request assistance. Alongside security chief Taku, N'Yaga took a pair of Vibranium-damped gloves into one of the Consulate's motor vehicles and transported them to the scene of the battle with Klaw. Donning the gloves, the Black Panther was able to overcome Klaw's power and destroy him.

When Christopher Priest and Mark Texeira reworked T'Challa in 1998, granting him a Vibranium-lined uniform, some fans cried foul because they didn't think T'Challa had used such gadgets before but, as this and other instances bear witness, T'Challa was always using Wakandan gadgets - just not as his status quo. Note that the claw-tipped fingers on the gloves are basically the same concept as Priest & Texeira's anti-metal claws.

This pair of yellow Vibranium-damped gloves were designed by N'Yaga and housed at the Wakandan Consulate, stored within a box. The gloves had the capacity to deaden sound waves in controlled amounts. The gloves' circuitry monitored the intensity of sound absorbed by its claws and fed the output into a digital display on the cuff of each glove. However, when the gloves tore through sonic energy, it would create a large sonic feedback. When the Black Panther and the Avengers were engaged in battle with Klaw, the Black Panther donned these gloves in order to tear through Klaw's sound-based force field. As the Black Panther struggled against Klaw, the readout on the gloves indicated that Klaw's power level was continuing to rise to dangerous proportions. He finally defeated Klaw by directing the villain's sonic horn into himself, nullifying Klaw's power and seemingly destroying him (as ever, Klaw eventually reformed his sonic body).
