Powers/Abilities: A genius at robotics design, the Micro-Manager used the vast machinery resources, including high-speed complex 3-D printers, left behind by his parents to create hundreds of robots and various traps. Among his genius inventions were the "gnashmouth" (a robot with chomping jaws that could get through most anything), robot duplicates of his parents (which could combine together to create a massive destructive weapon), a robot in a yellow dress (that called him 'dear' and kept him stocked with Oreos), and hundreds of attacking micro-bots and larger attack-bots, and a massive Deathcruncher suit of mechanized armor that could shoot off electric shocks and explosive rockets, and execute various deadly combo moves, including lectro-bombs, arachno-pound, steel vengeance, double steel vengeance, and robo-rake. Micro-Manager developed drones that recorded events all over town, small tic-sized robots to drive dogs mad and that would also release a deadly gas, constricting squirrel traps, and machines that emit high-pitched noises to drive dogs mad, and he has used hot air balloons (and salamis) in his plans. Micro-Manager used robots to individually record the personality profiles of dozens of individual squirrels. Micro-Manager also designed. An expert hacker, Micro-Manager is effective at deception through lying and covering up stories. Micro-Manager is also an effective thief, stealing things for months without detection, and he once kidnaped a baby while its mother was nearby.

History:
(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 28 (fb) - BTS) - Hydra launched the Human Leverage Research Division, meant to study concepts like "love" and "domestic bliss." Adam Romanger was paired with another Hydra agent, and they were ordered to marry and have a child, Mike. In time, Hydra shut down the project, and the Romangers were reassigned, with Adam going to a subterranean nano-tech manufactory in Cleveland, and Mrs. Romanger going to the Office of Viruses and Countermeasures in Rexburg, Idaho. They left Mike behind, assuring him Hydra probably wouldn't notice him if he didn't draw attention to himself. Using the technology his parents had left behind, he built robot versions of his parents to cover for him.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 33 (fb) - BTS) - He once brought a box of crackers and a block of cheese to Ana Sofia Romero's table to make friends, and they began sitting together every day, where Mike would complain about life and society. Ana Sofia agreed with many of his opinions.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 15 (fb) - BTS) - Wanting to gain attention for himself as a villain, Mike began using the super-villain forum, Baddit. He initially called himself King Bee, but learned another villain had claimed that name, so he switched to Doom Bat. Later, he took the name Micro-Manager, a pun of his own name. Mike started planting recording devices and spy-bots around the city, stealing things he needed to complete his experiments. Mike grew to hate animals, which tended to chew wires, scratch lenses, and disrupt his spy-bots, so he began to build animal traps and place them around the city, hoping to wipe out their numbers. He also built a robot and dressed it in a yellow dress, programming it to call him "dear" and to keep him stocked with milk and cookies, acting as his personal servant. He had plans to eventually join Hydra.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 33 (fb) - BTS) - Mike programmed the traps to record the personalities of various squirrels, over time giving him a large database of personality profiles.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 1 - BTS) - Tippy-Toe the squirrel got caught in one of Mike's traps, but she was saved by Squirrel Girl.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 4) - Mike met Doreen Green, a new friend of Ana Sofia's, at lunch. He corrected her on her grammar and complained about how no one followed the rules in town. They saw Lucy Tang and Heidi teasing them from across the room, eating frozen yogurt from the machine that Heidi's mom had donated.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 7 (fb) - BTS) - Tippy-Toe discovered many more of Mike's traps, learning how to disable them along the way.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 7 - BTS) - Squirrel Girl destroyed many more traps, saving the small squirrel Little Candy Creeper from being crushed in one.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 9 - BTS) - Tippy-Toe discovered far more squirrel traps than she'd initially believed in, and she recruited tree and ground squirrels to help her destroy them.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 11 (fb) - BTS) - Seeking to stop the squirrels, Mike deployed small sonic devices, each marked with an MM, that would drive dogs into a panic. The dogs began attacking squirrels.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 13 (fb) - BTS) - Mike also dug a large pit to capture prey in.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 13 (fb) - BTS) - Tippy-Toe fell into the pit along with Big Daddy Spud and one of the feral dogs.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 13 - BTS) - Squirrel Girl saved her allies, then guided the squirrels in destroying all the sonics, so the dogs would no longer be a threat.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 16) - Mike was furious watching the footage of Squirrel Girl disrupting his plots. As his robot tended to him, he listened to Heights of Villainy Motivational Lecture Series to calm himself, and he decided to make Squirrel Girl his arch-nemesis.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 16 - BTS) - Mike set up a complex trap for Squirrel Girl, placing a zucchini in a hot air balloon but equipping it with speakers to make others think a baby was inside. He then watched and waited for Squirrel Girl to react.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 17 - BTS) - Squirrel Girl and her army of squirrels successfully stopped the hot air balloon, and Mike, over a speaker, told Squirrel Girl that she'd passed the test, and that there would be a gas attack the following Sunday at noon.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 25 (fb) - BTS) - Mike released videos of Squirrel Girl using her powers online under an account registered to his father, Adam.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 21 (fb) - BTS) - The Micro-Manager launched dozens of electronic bugs, which were programmed to burrow into the fur of the local dogs and drive them mad. Speedo Strutfuzz went in to try and help one of the dogs, and he ended up getting bit.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 21 - BTS) - Squirrel Girl and Tippy-Toe organized the squirrels into taking down the electronic bugs to free the dogs from Mike's control.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 22) - The following Sunday, through a series of flying cameras, Micro-Manger informed Squirrel Girl that 13 dogs were being driven mad, and in 6 minutes, the ticks would explode, releasing poison gas and killing everyone within 30 yards of the dogs. Squirrel Girl rushed through the city, pulling ticks off dogs and burying the ticks, aided by squirrels including Big Daddy Spud, Fuzz Fountain Cortez, Kitty Sloughwalker, Bubo Nic, Puffin Furslide, and M. Scummerset Maugham. Davey Porkpun broke the last device at the last second, so everyone was saved.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 25 - BTS) - Mike sent the robot of his mother to the school for parent-teacher conferences, programming the robot to say that he'd been sick and unable to attend school lately.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 26) - When Squirrel Girl and Tippy-Toe showed up at the Romanger home, Mike had his robot parents tie him up in a chair to make him look like a villain. Squirrel Girl entered the Romanger home and the robots attacked her with whirling saw blades, but she kicked their heads off. The robots then combined into one form and attacked Squirrel Girl savagely, destroying part of the Romanger home as well as trees, lawns, and cars outside. Squirrel Girl finally defeated the robots with the help of the squirrels Sour Cream and the Chives. She then untied Mike, who claimed his parents were on a business trip and one of their enemies must have made the robot versions of them.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 27 (fb) - BTS) - Mike relocated to his parent's secondary base.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 27) - Seeking to gain the attention of Hydra, Mike logged on to Baddit and bragged about his plans to destroy Squirrel Girl. Other villains on the forum, including Hellstrom8 and Anonymasque, doubted him, and Mike exposed the home location of another user, Illuminasty, to intimidate the villains.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 30) - Mike planted seeds of criticism on the Internet about Squirrel Girl then watched them grow as people began to criticize her. Then he put a few supportive messages about SG around town where he hoped she'd see them, wanting to manipulate her levels of confidence. He planted a death-trap at the Romanger house, then prepared for his big battle with the heroine.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 33 (fb) - BTS) - Micro-Manager tasked a 3-D Printer with making hundreds of robots. He then uploaded the personalities of the squirrels into the micro-bots and sent them to his new base at the old Fly-By-Knight company warehouse for the endgame.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 34 (fb) - BTS) - Mike built a large suit of armor, which he called the Deathcruncher, then dozens of super-destructive chomping robots, which he placed underground, and he planned to use them to destroy the city.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 31 (fb) - BTS) - Micro-Manager kidnapped Davey Porkpun and Sour Cream and the Chives, planning to use them as bait in his death trap. He then kidnapped baby Dante Santino, and placed the squirrels and the baby in different traps.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 31) - Micro-Manager, finally revealing his villain name to his foe, spoke through micro-camera bots, and lured Squirrel Girl into a trap. To give her incentive, he gave her a website that showed Davey Porkpun slowly being lowered into robot jaws.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 32) - Squirrel Girl arrived at the warehouse, and Micro-Manager revealed himself as he lowered Davey Porkpun toward a robot with chomping sharp jaws, which he called a gnashmouth. Squirrel Girl distracted Mike and freed Davey, so Mike revealed Sour Cream and the Chives, placed in small glass traps that would soon drop them into an electrified mesh. When Mike launched hundreds of micro-bots, Squirrel Girl and her squirrels, including Fuzz Fountain Cortez, Bear Bodkin, Kerchief Candyglow, Calendar Earl, Bubo Nick, and M. Scummerset Maugham, fought them off. Squirrel Girl freed Sour Cream and the Chives, then Mike revealed that Dante had been placed in a glass cage on top of a super-high pole, well out of Squirrel Girl's reach. Mike then attacked with larger, deadlier robots.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 33 - BTS) - Ana Sofia investigated Mike's home and found piles of stolen things in Mike's garage and realized he was behind many of the local thefts. She discovered a massive 3-D Printer making robots and shut it down, triggering a self-destruct sequence. She discovered the database with the squirrel personalities and remotely uploaded their personalities to the microbots, then fled before the garage blew up.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 34) - The squirrels (including Suzie Skunkkiller) were overwhelmed by the micro-bots but soon they realized the bots were behaving like squirrels. As Micro-Manager realized this, he furiously destroyed the micro-bots, then activated his endgame, releasing the chomping robots from underground while attacking her from inside his larger robot, which he called the Deathcruncher, at Squirrel Girl.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 35) - As Squirrel Girl battled the Deathcruncher, squirrels outside, including Chomp Style and Cletus Scamperspaw, as well as dozens of civilians, worked together to stop the chomping robots outside, soon destroying all of them.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 36) - Squirrel Girl launched herself at Micro-Manager's powerful robot, managing to get one of the extra robot arms loose, but he delivered an electric shock that repelled her. Micro-Manager fired a rocket at her and kept attacking, while broadcasting baby Dante's cries, but Squirrel Girl managed to dislodge another one of his arms. Micro-Manager loudly yelled out each of his attacks as he tried them, including electro-bombs, arachno-pound, steel vengeance, double steel vengeance, and robo-rake, but just as he bragged that he was unstoppable, Squirrel Girl picked up the chomping Gnashmouth robot and used it to sever the other robot arms and one of the legs on Mike's armor. Mike was then stunned when Squirrel Girl climbed and leapt much further than he'd predicted she could in order to save the baby. Realizing he was absolutely defeated, Mike despaired, and Squirrel Girl tried to give him confidence that he still had his whole life ahead, even if he was facing prison. Thor and Black Widow soon landed in the helicopter, seeing to Mike's arrest.

(All of the following in "Squirrel Meets World" novel, Chapter 38 (fb) - BTS) - Mike was placed in a juvenile prison.

(2 Fast, 2 Furious novel, Chapter 25 - BTS) - Romanger traded insulting texts with Lazardo, warning him that Squirrel Girl would be triumphant.

Comments: Created by Shannon Hale and Dean Hale.

These novels work hard to fit into standard continuity...to a point. Squirrel Girl is a young teen in these novels and they work to set her up before her first appearance in the comic books. BUT...she texts and interacts with a LOT of super heroes in these books. While some of these heroes, like She-Hulk and Thor, don't pose a problem, characters like Winter Soldier and Rocket Raccoon fall here completely out of continuity for their own characters. Squirrel Girl also meets Tippy-Toe in these books years before she meets Tippy in real life. The books overall are delightful. Ryan North briefly hints at Squirrel Girl's adventures with Ana Sofia in one issue of the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

This profile was completed 2/14/2021, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 20th anniversary 's celebratory event.
