(Sleepwalker Holiday Special#1/2) - Max Menkin worked as a nightshift security guard at the DeVries Art Museum in New York. One night, art thieves broke in to steal artwork and shot Menkin to stop him raising the alarm. By chance, Sleepwalker arrived and attempted to stop them, but his host Rick Sheridan woke and Sleepwalker dissipated. The villains fled, leaving Menkin bleeding behind. Soon, Sheridan fell asleep again and Sleepwalker rose, rushing to the Museum. He cradled Menkin's head until the ambulance arrived, then chased the thieves. However, Sheridan's insomnia kept interfering with Sleepwalker's pursuit and, as a quick remedy, Sleepwalker resorted to theatrically pretending he was Menkin's vengeful spirit come to continually haunt the thieves until justice was served. The panicked thieves surrendered to police while Menkin recovered in hospital. Sheridan was oblivious to what had transpired as the morning TV news report aired in the background.
