History:
(Black Panther VI#4 (fb) - BTS) - Mandla was M'Baku's younger brother. He took over the mantle of the Man-Ape and control over the Jabari Tribe some time after his brother's death.

(Black Panther: World of Wakanda#2 (fb) - BTS) - Mandla was seen on a screen as a known threat to Wakanda in the Dora Milaje's database in Upanga.

(Black Panther VI#2 - BTS) - Aneka showed Ayo a map of where the corrupt chieftains she planned to go after were, which included Mandla of the White Gorilla Cult in the Jabari-Lands.

(Black Panther VI#3 - BTS) - While the Midnight Angels were away the White Gorilla Army attacked a destroyed village on the border of the Jabari-Lands where the Midnight Angels were hiding with a group of liberated women. Ayo promised to make the White Gorilla Army pay.

(Black Panther VI#3) - Aneka lured Man-Ape (Mandla) and some of his soldiers through the woods into a cave. Man-Ape ripped through trees while running after her. When the soldiers thought they had her cornered they entered the cave with Man-Ape at the front. Inside the cave they were faced by the Midnight Angels who easily took out the soldiers.

(Black Panther VI#4 (fb) - BTS) - The Midnight Angels apparently slew Mandla.

(Black Panther VI#4 (fb)) - Led by Aneka and Ayo the Midnight Angels delivered the corpse of Mandla with "No One Man" painted on his chest to the Jabari. They then overran the Jabari Clan and took control of the region. Some Jabari sided with them.

Comments: Created by Ta-Nehisi Coates & Brian Stelfreeze.

The origin of Mandla's armor is a mystery. He didn't wear armor on his legs and the armor looked heavy. Maybe it was made of light materials (some Vibranium was probably included). His poor knees and legs were probably hurting!
