History:
(Wild Western I#21) - Leech rode across the border into Mexico and arranged to purchase several human beings to use as laborers, paying $200 per person. The transaction was observed by the outlaw Kid Colt, who rode down and drew his guns on Leech, his men and the Mexican slaver. The Mexican drew his gun but Kid Colt shot it from his hand. Leech grabbed his whip but Colt fired a bullet through the whip which split it into two pieces.

As Colt took Leech's money, Leech vowed he would put Colt in a shallow grave. Colt replied he was willing to give him a chance and invited him to compete in a game in which two men hold a bandanna in their teeth then attack each other with knives. Leech refused to participate in the contest saying "knife play is a fool's game." He still vowed to have revenge in the form of firing a bullet into Colt's back. Colt ordered one of Leech's men to release the bound-up people Leech had purchased and Colt gave them Leech's money. Colt then drove Leech and his men in the opposite direction of the freed people. Leech again vowed revenge.

Leech rode out and told people he was after Kid Colt and wanted to know where Colt laid his head. Pete and another man found Colt in Tonto Ridge and sent word to Leech. Pete guided Leech to a house where Colt was sleeping for the night. Leech entered the house and strangled the owner to death then went back outside and had his men pile up greasewood against the house and light it on fire. However, Colt awoke and emerged from the fiery house, shooting down most of Leech's men. Leech prepared himself for a gunfight with Colt but was shocked when Colt holstered his pistols. Colt attacked Leech with his fists instead, attempting to strangle him to death. Pete struck Colt from behind before he could finish the job.

Rather than kill Colt, Leech wanted to draw out his suffering. Stealing Kid Colt's twin Colt pistols, he brought them to a bar and claimed he had killed Colt then started to auction off the pistols to the crowd. The bidding went up to $1,000 when Kid Colt entered the room, grabbed his gun belt out of Leech's hands, then quickly shot Leech to death.
