History:
(Hawkeye: Freefall#1) - Armand helped organize a meeting of petty criminals who were seeking employment from superhuman criminal, the Hood. He ordered the men to line up and shut up as the Hood made his entrance, unaware that Clint Barton (better known as the heroic Hawkeye) was somewhat undercover among the men seeking employment. Armand then immediately took his place behind the Hood as the Hood went into a speech explaining to his men that they were expected to follow his orders or risk having Armand dump whatever was left of their bodies into the Bronx River. When the Hood noticed Barton and asked if he knew him, prompting Barton to reply in the affirmative and punch the Hood, Armand yelled that Barton was Hawkeye. The Hood's gang immediately rushed Hawkeye en masse and during the scuffle, Armand insisted that he get the Hood out of there, as there could be others with Hawkeye. Ushering the Hood to a van, Armand departed with his boss but Hawkeye hit one of the tires with an arrow, causing the two to crash. The Hood emerged with guns drawn, only to find himself facing Hawkeye and a large squadron of police.

Later, after the Hood was released with an apology from the mayor, Barton confronted the Hood, who was getting into his limo with Armand. Surprised that the Hood stopped when he was confronted, Barton was invited into the limo and Armand watched Barton intently as the Hood gloated about how they had merely played a game of cat and mouse, which heroes and villains did in perpetuity.

(Hawkeye: Freefall#3) - Armand was present at a shootout when the Hood arrived and asked Armand what the hold up was. Explaining that the men the Hood wanted to interrogate had started shooting at them, Armand further explained that the men had likely gotten spooked due to the Hood's recent killings. The Hood responded by asking if Ronin was working for the men but Armand answered that they didn't know because no one would talk to them. Exclaiming that Ronin must be working for someone, the Hood ordered Armand to give him his "piece" and the Hood subsequently used a rocket launcher to destroy the building the shooters were based in. Passing the rocket launcher back to Armand, the Hood ordered Armand to find Ronin. When Armand reminded the Hood that he had just killed the men they were going to question, the Hood grimly ordered Armand to find more men to question.

(Hawkeye: Freefall#5) - Armand was with the Hood when they noticed a billboard asking for anyone needing drugs to call Parker Robbins (the Hood's alter ego) at his personal cellphone number. The Hood immediately demanded to know how they had gotten his phone number and Armand muttered that he now realized why the Hood had been receiving prank phone calls. He was later present when one of the Hood's supply trucks showed up and Armand suggested that perhaps they had simply returned the truck after realizing it belonged to the Hood. The Hood responded by asking Armand if the person returning the truck took anything and they both went to the back of the truck to find it empty. Armand later accompanied the Hood to the IFC theater for the Hood's birthday, only to find the theater closed due to a supposed bomb threat. Armand suggested they instead see a movie the next day but an angry Hood asked if it would still be his birthday.

(Hawkeye: Freefall#6) - At 7:24a.m., Armand brought breakfast to the smiling Hood. By 9:42a.m., Armand was by the Hood's side as the Hood waited for Hawkeye to show up to stop him from revealing evidence that Hawkeye and Ronin were the same person. Armand tried to interrupt to tell the Hood something but, annoyed that Hawkeye was not there, the Hood brushed off Armand's attempts. Eventually, Hawkeye arrived and revealed that he had robbed the Hood's safety deposit box at Alethea Mutual Bank and when the Hood expressed disbelief, Armand interjected that he had been trying to tell the Hood about the robbery.
