History:

(Edge of Spider-Verse I#3 (fb)) - At age 27, Aaron got a job at the Ikegami Medical Center and Research Institute, working as a molecular biologist, focusing on contributions in bioengineering and molecular chemistry. Aaron was mentored by the founder of the center, Dr. Kaori Ikegami, a scientist and surgeon focused on robotics and prosthetics. When Kaori's daughter, 10-year old Hannah, was hit by a car, she suffered irreversible brain damage and fell into a coma. With Aaron's help, Kaori focused on curing her daughter above all else. In time Aaron and Kaori started a romantic relationship.

(Edge of Spider-Man I#3 (fb) - BTS) - Aikman became enemies with Rick Landress (the villain Redeye), who'd gained the ability to control winds and storms after being exposed to cosmic radiation on Jupiter.

(Edge of Spider-Verse I#3 (fb)) - In time, he re-sequenced his own DNA, inserting "cloned spider genes" into his own, giving him super powers, and he soon costumed himself as Spider-Man. Aikman also designed himself an armored suit with tech capabilities, including webbing and a retractable stinger.

(Edge of Spider-Verse I#3 (fb) - BTS) - Spider-Man defeated Redeye and several other foes.

(Edge of Spider-Verse I#3 (fb)) - Kaori abruptly moved she and her daughter into another facility one day and grew reclusive, barely seeing Aaron any longer.

(Edge of Spider-Verse I#3 (fb)) - Spider-Man fought Naamurah, who'd kidnapped dozens, and she easily defeated him in their first fight.

(Edge of Spider-Verse I#3) - While analyzing the kidnappings related to Naamurah, Aaron was visited by Kaori, who wanted him to run away with her, but he lied to her, saying he had a trip, and she knew he was lying, then rushed away from him in a fury when he didn't even ask about Hannah. Spider-Man went after Naamurah, but found she had transformed many of her victims into creatures like her, including Daarroh, who was defeated and Aikman helped get him medical treatment. Aikman tracked tech back to Kaori's lab and learned that she had woken Hannah up months before only to learn that Hannah had been taken over by Naamurah, and she'd been working for Naamurah ever since. Spider-Man realized all of the kidnapped victims had been turned into weapons, and he rushed to save them, but Morlun appeared in a portal, determined to kill Spider-Man and then doom this Earth.

(Spider-Woman V#3) - Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), on Earth-001, saw Aikman's Spider-Man through a portal monitored by the Inheritors.

(Vault of Spiders I#1) - On Earth-001, Karn looked over alternate reality Spider-Men, including Aaron Aikman.
