History:
(Daredevil I#209 (fb) ) - Johnny Squarejohn grew up in Hell's Kitchen, where his father was a boxer. While his dad trained with Battlin' Jack Murdock, Johnny would play with young Matt Murdock, goofing off in the streets.

(Daredevil I#209 (fb) - BTS) - As Johnny and Matt grew up, they grew apart. In time, Johnny joined a gang, and was declared a baron.

(Daredevil I#209 (fb) ) - When the gang beat up Matt, calling him Daredevil, Matt called out to Johnny for help, but Johnny refused.

(Daredevil I#209 (fb) ) - After Matt went blind, he came across the gang beating up Squarejohn on the street, as Squarejohn owed them money. Matt used his cane to beat the three men back, shocking Squarejohn.

(Daredevil I#209 (fb) - BTS) - Johnny married and had two kids. Fran grew impatient with Johnny's frequent criminal dealings and kicked him out. Johnny accepted arson assignments from the Kingpin in the interim.

(Daredevil I#209) - Daredevil caught Johnny setting a fire and knocked him unconscious. The next day at the courthouse, Johnny passed Matt Murdock and tried to avoid him, but Murdock saw Johnny and greeted him, ending his conversation with Bill to do so. Johnny asked Murdock if he might be his attorney as Johnny wanted to get his life together. Johnny claimed he was innocent. Matt said he couldn't represent Johnny, but he convinced Johnny's attorney, Larry, to help Johnny turn state's evidence on bigger fish. Johnny tried going home to Fran, but she kicked him out again, then he discovered Kingpin wouldn't allow him in the bars until he cleared his name. Frustrated, he went to ask Matt for advice but saw Daredevil, then he followed the hero, watching him fight explosive robots and muggers. Johnny suddenly realized Daredevil and Matt Murdock were the same, and kept following him. He saw Daredevil destroy many of the robots all at once, but when one of them attacked, Johnny leapt in its way to save his old friend, and he was badly wounded in the explosion. As he died, he admitted he knew Daredevil's real identity, and asked Matt to watch out for his wife and kids.
