History:
(X-Men Unlimited I#4 - BTS) - Loretta, a French heiress accustomed to wealth, lived in her father's glorious estate. The family's butler Jarroll waited on her every whim.

(X-Men Unlimited I#4 - BTS) - Loretta became romantically involved with the American Graydon Creed, the founder of the Friends of Humanity, who wished to purify the world of mutantkind.

(X-Men Unlimited I#4 (fb) - BTS) - During an otherwise ordinary day Loretta and Creed enjoyed each other's company until the newspaper came in, revealing Creed's friend in the State Department Office for Genetic Integrity had died of a heart attack. Creed immediately called his sources to get the real scoop as he was in business with the general.

(X-Men Unlimited I#4) - Learning Gaudier didn't die of a heart attack but was brutally murdered Creed soon grew aggressive. Believing the general was solely killed to get his attention. Taking his frustrations out on Loretta for being unable to pronounce ostentatious the correct way. The two were then interrupted by Jarroll as a guest had arrived to see them, private detective Gunther Reinhold. Reinhold had just returned from Germany on behalf of Creed to verify if Mystique was Creed's biological mother, which was indeed the case. Loretta stood by as Reinhold revealed he happened onto more than just the info he wanted and even located a brother. Reinhold continued he would need considerable compensation for the additional information, threatening to otherwise use the information to hurt Creed. Enraged that Reinhold would blackmail him, Creed slashed the man's throat with a broken bottle, all while Loretta was watching. Creed then grabbed Reinhold, promising to provide sufficient help if he were to reveal his brother's name, Reinhold revealed the X-Man Nightcrawler was Creed's biological brother. Realizing his entire family was made out of mutants Creed beat Reinhold to death with a golden birdcage, while Loretta screamed. Shocked her boyfriend would kill a man in her bedroom, Loretta commanded Creed to leave her father's home immediately. Unwilling to answer to the woman he believed to be stupid, Creed violently grabbed Loretta threatening that if he were to leave it would be by his own decision. Loretta, in tears, allowed Creed to stay. Not long after Creed returned to Washington to deal with the threats.

Creed mentioned Loretta was born royalty, but instead of belonging to the French royal family I would think she was an heiress. It's been unrevealed if Loretta's father was still alive.

Officially there is no French Royal Family! The monarchy was abolished during the French Revolution and many heads rolled, mostly royal heads. There are still a few descendants floating around and it is possible that her family were nobles or they were just noveau riche.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Loretta has no known connections to

Jarroll

Jarroll was the butler of Loretta's father's estate, classically trained, his talents were wasted on the young and pampered Loretta, who took the man for granted. During an otherwise ordinary day Jarroll interrupted Loretta and her boyfriend Graydon Creed when a private detective by the name of Gunther Reinhold had come to see Creed.
