Back Issue is a magazine published by TwoMorrows Publishing focusing on articles, interviews and themes of Bronze Age comic books. Issue #111 (where this "What If?" scenario originated)'s theme was alternate realities and occasionally, Back Issue includes a two-page comic strip by Karl Heitmueller, Jr. called Prince Street News. In the case of #111, the two-page comic was titled "Alternate Alternate Realities" and featured several panels of unlikely and humorous alternate realities. In the case of the one in this profile, the gag was "What If...Bruce Banner Had a Penchant for Bold Patterns?" In addition, there is a copyright notice in the Prince Street News article stating that this Hulk is copyrighted by Marvel, making me think that he indeed is part of Marvel's multiverse.

While not seen transforming, the story lists the character as Bruce Banner and the copyright lists him as Hulk, suggesting that in this reality, much like on Earth-616, Bruce Banner could transform into the Hulk. His height and weight were approximated based on the height and weight of his Earth-616 counterpart.
