History: (Avengers A.I. I#7 (fb) – BTS) – Doris, an elderly woman, saw her husband hit by an uninsured driver and his injuries caused their medical insurance to drop him while the subsequent medical bills drained their retirement account. After the death of her husband, Doris was facing foreclosure so she reached out to attorney Matt Murdock, who agreed to take her case pro bono. When the Terrigen Mist cloud hit New York City, Doris, who had latent Inhuman DNA, was changed into a cocoon form.

(Avengers A.I. I#7) – Daredevil was investigating Doris' seeming disappearance when he ran into Ant-Man and Doombot of the Avengers A.I. Doris emerged as a monstrous green creature with a dozen massive extending tentacles growing off her form and she lashed out at the heroes. Daredevil unmasked as Matt and helped to calm Doris down just as Medusa and Lockjaw arrived to invite her to Attilan. Doris initially didn't want to go, feeling like a freak, but Doombot helped her realize she was no longer helpless so she went freely to join her new people.

(Uncanny Avengers III#6) – Doris was present in New Attilan, at its new location in New York City, when Medusa took charge of the city.
