History:
(Captain America: Red, White & Blue TPB/4 (fb) - BTS) - Leonhardt's mother actually wanted a girl.

(Captain America: Red, White & Blue TPB/4 (fb) - BTS) - At some point Leonhardt von Königsblut became a werewolf. Locals soon feared the monster from the Königsblut castle. During World War 2 he became an infamous agent of the Nazis, making it on the Allies' wanted list.

(Captain America: Red, White & Blue TPB/4) <1945> - While residing in his family's castle Leonhardt encountered Captain America, who was searching for Franka, the daughter of a local man begging for his help. Cap went into the castle even though the soldiers accompanying him believed the man was leading Cap into a trap. Captain America recognized Baron von Königsblut, who believed Captain America was there to arrest him. Unfortunately for Cap it was the wrong night (it was presumably full moon) to face Leonhardt, who transformed under into his werewolf form in front of Cap and attacked him. He grabbed a sword, allegedly the all-cutting blade of Saladin, which his grandfather had bought in Cairo, but it splintered upon hitting Cap's shield. Cap struck the Nazi werewolf with a right hook, but the creature was right back on him only to be catapulted into a wall. Cap then went looking for the girl again, who was screaming for help. When he nearly fell to his death in a pit while saving the girl from it, the Baron surprisingly came to his aid. He pulled up Captain America and Franka to safety because he was not going to let an innocent girl fall to her death in his great-great-grandmother Clothilda's bottomless pit. He then told Captain America to return the girl to her father because it suited Cap more to be a hero. Captain America was surprised that such an honorable man like Baron von Königsblut served the Nazis, but the Baron told him that he was only serving his country. He asked Cap to meet him topside in fives minutes to end their fight. Five minutes later Baron von K&oulm;nigsblut arrived topside in his special Nazi uniform to fight Captain America in an epic battle...

The end of the battle was never seen, but...
...in Avengers: 1950#1 (December, 2011) Sabretooth (Victor Creed) is attacked by a werewolf working for Geoffrey Sydenham's Icon group. Considering many of Icon's agents were former Axis operatives from World War 2 there is the slight possibility the werewolf was von Königsblut.
