History:

(My Love#3/1 (fb) - BTS) - Kathy Stewart was owner and operator of "Kathy's Kooky Kards" gift card shop in the Village, New York City. She hoped for romance, but was cautious.

(My Love#3/1) - One day, she met Jim in her shop. He requested the new Heartbeat range of cards and she, not realizing he was one of Heartbeat's salesmen, offered to order some. But he was smitten by her and walked her home that night, quickly followed by several romantic dates together. They soon fell in love with each other. Eventually Heartbeat Cards delivered the order, but a quantity problem led to Kathy going to the supplier nearby. There she saw Jim praised for high sales and instantly felt that she'd been deliberately fooled in romance. Thinking it was part of Jim's standard routine to sell cards, she ran off and stayed away from the shop for days in the dark. She finally returned to her shop to see that Jim had gained the shop key from the landlord and kept her business running. He'd quit Heartbeat Cards and wanted to run the store as a married couple. They kissed as he showed her the last card he had designed for Heartbeat, featuring the two of them on the cover.

These romance stories often had the flavor of the time in which they were written, and nothing else to tie them into Marvel's sliding timescale. As such, it's likely that the stories took place at the time of publication rather than being part of the sliding timescale.
