Master can mentally animate, morph and control virtually all types of
metal. He can also use metal as a floating platform for travel. He is a
compulsive thief, targeting metal, especially gold.

History:
(Spidey Super Stories#43/5 (fb)) - On his home planet
Astra, Metal Master was the only thief. He was greedy, coveting
particularly gold, and was expelled on a spacecraft into deep space for his crime.
Eventually, he landed on Earth and went to a major auto show to steal
the gold cup prize for the most fuel-efficient car.
(Spidey Super Stories#43/5) - Metal Master made his
move, dashing in on a floating metal sheet while causing the empty
display cars to herd attendees together, including J. Jonah Jameson,
Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Parker secretly
changed into Spider-Man while the industrialist Tony Stark, quietly
hidden, donned his Iron
Man armor to tackle the alien intruder. Metal Master grabbed the gold
cup and used metal objects to constrict the two heroes, but they
broke free. Metal Master disintegrated a car into flying metal bits,
but Spidey used a web shield while Iron Man used his force rays to
repulse the shards. Spider-Man wrapped Metal Master in webbing, but the
thief mentally controlled Iron Man's armor to cut him out. Metal Master
next pounded cars together to make a giant hammer to smash Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Iron Man drove Stark's special plastic car to pinion Metal
Master against the wall, ending his rampage. The alien was amazed at
Earth technology.

Metal Master of Earth-57780 is the counterpart to
Earth-616's Metal
Master (Molyb). Physical stats are taken from the Earth-616
version, as they look very much alike.

CLARIFICATIONS

Metal Master of Earth-57780 has no known connections to:
Amber
skinned, Astrans all have the power to mentally manipulate metal. There
is no theft on Astra, so the locals seem satisfied with what they have.
But punishment for theft resulted in expulsion from Astra via
spacecraft for the native Metal Master.
