History:
(My Love II#5/1 (fb) - BTS) - Ronny Langdon was a
popular rock music singer. Financially cautious, he had his own banker
to take care of the earnings from his singing engagements and records.
He quietly set up a trust fund for his parents. Langdon fell in love with Liz
Grant, whose conservative father derided Langdon, primarily because of
the singer's long hair. Langdon drove a coupe covered with pictures of
flowers, but didn't understand why people judged him a hippy.
(My Love II#5/1) - Liz attended many of Langdon's
gigs at clubs, but at home, she had to confront her father's bias
against Langdon. She encountered similar prejudice from Langdon's
romantic rival, Harold Evans, also conservative but unaware of
Langdon's financial acumen. Deciding he wanted to marry Liz, Langdon
drove her home after a performance and wanted to speak with her
parents. Although Liz was concerned about the likely confrontation,
Langdon offered his banker's services to confirm his earnings, as well
as offer a loan due to Liz's father's business problems. The father no
longer needed the money, but his prejudice against Langdon sharply
changed into admiration, as he recognized he had judged Langdon too
harshly. Apparently gaining the approval of the parents, Langdon became
engaged to Liz.

He's initially called RonnIE, not RonnY, in the first
panel, but it's Ronny everywhere else in the story.
These romance stories often had the flavor of the time in which they were written, and nothing else to tie them into Marvel's sliding timescale. As such, it's likely that the stories took place at the time of publication rather than being part of the sliding timescale.

apparently became engaged to Liz.
