History:

(Creatures on the Loose I#19/1 (fb) - BTS) - Jen-In became a minister in Ar-Hap's ruling elite of the Lizardmen, but still desired more power. He disliked the golden-hued Hither People, viewing them as ignorant chattel.

(Creatures on the Loose I#19/1) - The captive Heru of the Hither People was brought to Jen-In to be delivered as the next tribute wife of Ar-Hap. He slapped her brutally, demanding she learn discipline, then praised Ar-Hap as leader. Accompanied by a Lizardman guard, he dragged her to her cell for a brutal test. She was imprisoned with Chea, the current tribute wife, and was expected to kill her with a ceremonial knife; however, Chea chose suicide rather than risk another year as Ar-Hap's consort. Heru was further "tested" with reduced rations.

(Creatures on the Loose I#20/1) - Days later, her testing time complete, Jen-In fetched Heru with a guard, but the prisoner slashed at the guard. Jen-In stopped her and whipped her into submission. He then took Heru before Ar-Hap and derided her as he threw her to the floor. But Ar-Hap saw beauty in Heru and ordered a guard take Jen-In away to be flogged as punishment. During the later wedding festivities, Jen-In captured Heru, using her screams to bait the time-lost Earthman prisoner Gullivar Jones to Ar-Hap's tent, who was unconscious. Falsely declaring Ar-Hap dead and himself as now in command, Jen-In ordered Lizardmen kill Jones.

(Creatures on the Loose I#21/1) - Accompanied by three Lizardmen, Jen-In entered Ar-Hap's tent and ordered Jones' death, but the Earthman's augmented strength in the Martian gravity was more than a match for the three guards. Jen-In quickly ran off, shooting wildly. He took the bound but defiant Heru as his prize, intending to use her to mother many warriors. Jones escaped and freed his fighting friend Chak, and they pursued Jen-In into the desert. Cornered, Jen-In threatened to kill Heru to stop Jones, but Chak broke the stalemate by shooting the Lizardman's sword. Jones followed with a powerful uppercut punch that killed Jen-In. The others left his body behind in the desert as they fled.

Like other Lizardmen, Jen-In has a tail. Wayne Boring's art showed the Lizardmen to be more stocky than seen in Gray Morrow's art.
